Full transparency, I was initially reluctant to book here based on how few reviews there were across all the booking platforms albeit the reviews were good. Thought maybe there were better places? Well, if you’re looking at Toyu and have the same doubts, look no further. This cute, unassuming spot has it all. Location is close and very walkable to beach, shopping, food and entertainment. Establishment also has a restaurant onsite, offering complimentary refreshments and breakfast based on your stay. Rooms are immaculately clean and service is worthy of a 5 star hotel. The whole family couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. Actually looking into extending our stay here a couple of nights.

Our party stayed at the Haeundae Toyu Ryokan Hotel for five nights in the Premiere Twin Room, which had two full beds and comfortably accommodated four adults. We arrived past midnight, but were still greeted by a very friendly person at the front desk named Chris, who helped us check in, provided us with information about our stay, and gave us goodie bags filled with Korean snacks. He was very attentive to our needs and helped us carry our luggage to the second floor. (The hotel does not have an elevator.) He also checked in on us throughout our stay, making sure we took advantage of the free breakfast and lunch (this depends on when you stay and what specials they are running). The room was just what we needed. We had plenty of space, though it was a bit weird to have a fairly clear door on the shower. There was also a large tub in the main part of the room that we did not use and took up a large portion of the floor. There were only a handful of outlets, so bring an adapter that contains multiple plugs! The AC unit was powerful and kept the room nice and cool. The hotel is also very environmentally conscious and will only come to make up the room if you indicate you need it by leaving a sign outside your door. Everyone we spoke to was very polite and used an app to translate if needed. The hotel's location was very convenient—only a few blocks from the beach (less than a 10-minute walk) and close to plenty of restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Tōyu was recommended to us by a family member, and the hotel did not disappoint. Tōyu is tucked away in a quiet corner. The entrance is warm and inviting. Every evening returning to the hotel, the welcoming façade was comforting. We were surprised when we realized one of the main food and shopping alleyways was conveniently just around the corner. The space is peaceful and the staff are professional, kind, and helpful. We enjoyed the hearty welcome breakfast in the restaurant. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The tub was exquisite and just what we needed to unwind after a day of walking. Jokingly, I almost didn’t want to write the review, to keep this gem to myself. Of course, they deserve to succeed. ☺️ I hope future guests continue to respect the tranquility and beauty of Tōyu Ryokan. It is a gem.

화장실 바닥 하수구 물이 내려가지 않아서 샤워할 때 힘들었어요, 료칸에서도 히수구 냄새가 올라와 밤에 괴로웠습니다. 직원분들은 매우 친절했고 생수도 넉넉히 있었는데 리모델링 건물임에도 불구하고 시설이 별루였어요. 차로 건물 찾기도 힘들었어요. 입구에 표지판 하나 만들어야 될 것 같아요

訂皇家房，飯店告知可以入住9人，我們7大2小入住當天只有7人的床跟備品，事前都有告知人數但當天入住反應後才幫我們鋪床⋯洗澡的浴室排水孔堵塞、沐沐的備品也不足⋯⋯最重要的是，飯店沒有電梯，看起來只有兩層但我們入住的是4樓，行李會幫忙搬運，但出門要回去時還要爬樓梯⋯⋯真的很累！總結飯店的服務態度好，房間也真的很美，但有老人小孩、還有團體人數多的，要再三思！

장점: 위치가 좋은 편. 해운대 가까우면서 주변은 시끄럽지 않음. 오픈기념으로 숙박 일수와 관계없이 1회 조식제공. 조식 깔끔함. 음료쿠폰을 주셔서 잘 이용함. 어메니티 충분히 제공함. 냉장고가 커서 이용할 일은 없었지만 냉동실도 있음. 단점: 엘베 없음. 3층일 경우 짐 들고 올라가야 함. 외풍이 심해 창문쪽 침대 개추움. 바닥 난방은 침대가 있는 곳에 되지 않음. 내가 묵은 방은 모두 좌식이고 의자가 없음. 미묘하게 작은 부분에서 사용자성에 대한 배려가 부족하다고 느낌. (비데가 없고 구두주걱이나 캐리어 받침대 등 없음). 주말이라 그렇겠지만 가격이 과도하게 책정된 느낌. 1박 32만 정도). 방음이 안됨. 옆 방의 아이 우는 소리가 바로 옆에서 들리는 듯함. 결론: 직원들 친절하고 2박 잘 지내고 왔지만 다시 해운대 숙소를 이 가격에 선택하지는 않을 듯. 저상 매트리스에 좌식이라 아이있는 사람은 좋을 수도.
