The Traveler’s Ark was excellent. It is above the Petaling Market in Chinatown and the n the center of everything. Great views from the roof deck. We enjoyed the lounge/ coffee bar. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They make a great latte. Lounge is filled with a range of characters— many who appear to be digital nomads. The room was simple but nice. We had a private bath and our own gecko near the coffee service :). The only little complaint is that it would be nice to have a soap dispenser next to the sink so that one doesn’t have to go into the shower every time you wash your hands. A great choice for KL.

Good vibe at common area for solo traveler and backpacker, clean environment, friendly and helpful staff. Most important it located at the strategic location which surrounding with good foodie and tourist spot, it very near to public transport hub as well. Thumbs up!

We were not given the room we expected. The pictures show a window and it was advertised on hotels.com as having black out curtains which also suggests a window. There was no window. There was a very musty smell in there.The room itself was clean but the bathroom was very small and there was no water in the tap unless you ran the shower so we had to fill the kettle from the shower. The aircon worked to start with but then it poured water down the wall and onto the floor. We had to turn it off during night or it flooded everywhere. No one asked if we wanted cleaning or more towels durung the stay. There were some guests during our stay who screamed and shouted in the corridors and slammed doors constantly. This went on for hours at 2.00 am. This is not the fault of the hotel but it didn't help that there are no staff at night to ask for help. The communal area was quite nice with the terrace to sit on and the location is very good but our experience of the room itself was awful. When we checjed out U toldvthe staff on reception about the aircon and there was not even an apology. the kettle from the shower.

We were rather concerned when we arrived and the hostel was in the middle of Petaling Street Market but remarkably we heard no noise from it at all. Our private ensuite room was minimalist but spotlessly clean. The aircon worked well and the room was equipped with a kettle, water, coffee, a hairdryer and two pairs of disposable slippers.our shower worked perfectly. In the communal/community area, there was a board with events listed. There was a karaoke night the evening we arrived. There is also a fabulous coffee shop, a selection of board games and a book exchange. The communal space also boasts a large table, inside seating and an outside seating area, along with a water refill station and microwave. On the top floor, there is a roof terrace with amazing views of Mederka 118. As a much older couple, we didn't feel out of place at Traveller Ark and would not hesitate to stay there again when in KL.
