We really enjoyed our stay. We were there just after the season ended so the restaurant had sadly just closed. But the town was still lovely, we were able to get food easily. The front desk attendants were always very helpful and nice and the hotel was lovely. The view is unmatched. Honestly I am still thinking about sitting out on the balcony looking out at the mountains and the lake.

The view is impeccable. However, it’s basically all that goes for it. The hotel seems to have seen its best day's. The staff is not impressive and lacked any helping spirit. The restaurant only had “pizza party buffet” for 20€ pp, we weren’t hungry and wanted to share a pizza or two. This was not possible and we went elsewhere.

Hotel Funicolare Review The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the location is absolutely wonderful, with a dreamlike view that is definitely the highlight of the hotel. That said, the hotel itself feels quite dated. The carpet in the room was in need of a deep clean, and the bathroom had not been cleaned to the standard I would expect. The shower and taps were covered in limescale. The corridors and reception area also felt rather old and unwelcoming, and could definitely benefit from some renovation and better maintenance. Having said all that, the price was fair for what the hotel offers. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for just one night, I think it is a perfectly reasonable choice, especially if you are willing to overlook the dated interiors for that dream view. The location and scenery really are the hotel’s biggest advantages.

The room was clean and spacious. The view was like something out of a movie, amazing! Slightly disappointed to find out the restaurant was pizzas only but the pizza was nice. Breakfast was also a slight let down, not much hot food to offer there than hotdog sausages and eggs. There were no pastries left when we went up

A balcony with a view

It's really an experience to visit this hotel. Rooms and breakfast is as can be expected for the price range but the view from the balconies makes up for everything! would highly recommend to make a stop here - I will again in the future.
