Old Mountain View
Old Mountain View blends Silicon Valley charm with historic character along tree-lined streets filled with Craftsman bungalows and Victorian homes. Castro Street buzzes with independent bookshops, diverse eateries, and a weekly farmers market where locals swap stories over fresh produce. The Mountain View Centre for the Performing Arts anchors the cultural scene while area parks offer peaceful green spaces. Dining options range from Vietnamese pho to farm-to-table bistros, all within walking distance of this pedestrian-friendly area. The nearby Mountain View Caltrain station connects you to the wider Bay Area, making car-free exploration a breeze. Most visitors stay in nearby hotels since lodging within the area is limited to occasional bed and breakfasts.
Cuesta Park
Cuesta Park's tree-lined streets and family-friendly atmosphere make this Mountain View area feel like a genuine California suburb. Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy matches at the Cuesta Park Tennis Centre while kids climb on colourful playground equipment. The expansive green spaces with mature oak trees provide perfect spots for picnics and lazy afternoon strolls away from Silicon Valley's tech bustle. You'll need wheels to explore beyond this residential haven, as public transit is limited. Dining options are sparse within the area itself, so plan to drive to nearby Castro Street for restaurants. Accommodation consists mainly of home rentals that offer a quiet retreat with gardens and suburban comforts.

Shoreline West

While the area itself offers few attractions, you're just minutes from Mountain View Centre for the Performing Arts and the scenic Stevens Creek Trail. Klein Park provides a lovely spot for afternoon relaxation. Getting around is a breeze with excellent Caltrain access connecting you to San Francisco and San Jose. Most visitors head to nearby city centre Mountain View for diverse dining options. Holiday rentals in residential homes offer a genuine glimpse into local family life, complete with quiet evenings and morning birdsong.

"Great"
Hotel Strata
"Booked a stay here for trip to take my son to see his favorite artists perform at Shoreline Amphitheater. This was one of the best stays ive had at a hotel. Rageev, Guneet and Fernanado were all amazing and helpful. This hotel has thought of everything you may need or want for a pleasant stay. At checkin we were given welcome bags that had slippers, eyemask for sleeping and a bottle of Path water and there are path refill stations. Rooms were super clean and had every hookup needed for computers or gaming consoles. Nice rabbit air filtration system as well. The windows open fully which is nice for fresh air. The bathroom has heated floors and a Japanese heated toilet seat. The shower has 3 heads. Overhead rain shower, regular wall shower head and a handheld head. Best shower ever. Nice selection of teas, coffees and snacks available free in lobby 24/7 but its the espresso/coffee machine available during breakfast that was my favorite. I've never stayed anywhere that I enjoyed the coffee available. Convenient location to Shoreline. Also there's an In N Out and corner store within a few minutes walking. We will definitely stay here again and refer friends."
Ramada by Wyndham Mountain View
"We stayed one night for a concert at Shoreline and it was perfect. Friendly front desk and clean room"

- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Mountain View on a budget is a great value for money, particularly in January, November, and December, when hotels may drop to lower prices. For an ideal holiday, consider staying for at least 2 to 3 days to fully appreciate the town's rich history and cultural landmarks such as the mountain, live music venues, business hubs, dining establishments, beaches, theatres, shopping areas, cafes, museums, and entertainment spots.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Travel enthusiasts planning a quick trip to Mountain View may discover enticing hotel deals on Hotels.com by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section, where discounted rates are highlighted. For those seeking very last-minute opportunities, the Last-Minute Deals section could offer appealing options. Additionally, by using the Smart Shopping tool via the app, travellers are more likely to compare hotel prices and amenities efficiently, ensuring they are promptly informed if rooms become available or if prices drop. Notifications may be enabled to keep you updated on flash sales and special offers.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Mountain View hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can offer a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially secure a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre typically tend to be more expensive; however, with Mountain View's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
