Great location.. I have been coming to Santo Domingo for years, and have stayed at numerous hotels in La Zona Colonial and Bella Vista. I believe I have discovered the hotel that I will be returning to in the future. Clean. Staff was awesome. We were greeted warmly on arrival, and offered a cold pineapple juice (best I’ve ever had) while we waited during check in. The hallways and artwork are beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Staff was flexible and available if we had needs. I would love to write that the hotel was awful, terrible, so other possible guests in the future don’t go to this hotel so I can have it all to myself! A wonderful stay. ONLY negative was my friends stayed on a first floor room facing the street, and it was quite loud during the night. I think that is just the way it is going to be. BUT a great hotel!!!!

The place is wonderful. It's like staying at an art museum. The staff is so kind and serviceable. Jose receives us with complementary drunks, and explained vwey well all our options. Adamilca took care of us at all times, even providing an umbrella for us on a rainy day, and John prepared the most delicious cocktails.

An excellent place however they did not have fresh sheets, and I asked them as they kindly brought fresh sheets and change the bed for me Staff is absolutely amazing and their service was bar-none the best. The hotel has good access to the tourist spots. Breakfast is a hit or miss. Hard bread, have to beg to get a tiny micro plate of fruits. The room has a good bed, hot water could take 15 to 20 minutes to come out of the shower. The bathrooms are very small, same for the shower area. Overall nice staff. Asked for a late check out, told to pay $30 USD for 30 minutes. Overall not accommodating to provide a room upgrade. Breakfast is slow to serve and lacking variety.

This was my sister and I first visit in the Dominian Republic and we decided to make an overnight trip in Santo Domingo from Punta Cana on Thurs Jan 23, 2025 and we're glad we did. Our stay at Empyrean was phenomenal, the service was impeccable. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and embraced with a big welcome and infectious smile by Joseph (Jose). He was friendly, hospitable and personable. I can't thank him enough. He made our trip memorable, he went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful for him. Other staff also were courteous, helpful and left a good impression on us. All the servers, housekeepers, the gentleman who served us our complimentary breakfast and coffee. I highly recommend this place. The art decor and attention to detail was wonderful; it felt like being in an art gallery!!! Thank you so much for all that made our stay enjoyable.
