A very well located hotel, on the lakeside, with wonderful views from the rooms at the front with balconies. The ferry terminal is 100 metres away with access to all the other beautiful towns on the lake. What makes this hotel special is the staff who are very warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful.

They have the best spa in Italy probably golf course is nit top but okey to play and golf resto food is also very good !

We stayed here for 3 nights for part of our honeymoon. It definitely is 5 star. The room was fantastic and I would recommend booking a room with a lake view if possible. The view from our balcony was amazing. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff were very friendly.

This Hotel was quiet and peaceful set on the top of hills above Garda with great views of the lake etc.Good food,nice rooms,good pool and sunbathing area. The only drawback was transportation, as it was stated in the hotel write up there was shuttle transport to Garda 3km away. This was not the case so car hire is a necessity. We used a local taxi service which cost a small fortune over the week.

We were lucky to be upgraded to the new spa rooms which are excellent. spacious and well equipped. Location is beautiful with stunning views high up over lake Garda and if you want to get away from it all, its ideal. Dining options were good but some staff were new, food was good but more every day options would be good for residents Could benefit from a social area, bar or similar Be prepared for a 20 minute mountain road drive to access the hotel and visit Gargnano

This is a great hotel. It's in a very good location for travelling and sightseeing. It's 25 minutes walk to the train station so you can visit other cities like Verona and Venice. It's also close to the port so you can take a boat trip around the lake. It's close to the beach for lovers of swimming. The view onto the lake is beautiful, however, it does look out onto the main road so it can get quite noisy at night. It's fine if you close the window and the view is worth it.

Just returned from a lovely week at the Excelsior. The hotel is in a lovely position just outside the main town which was ideal as we were less than 5 minutes from the ferries and restaurants but more peaceful (apart from the night when a radio show was being broadcast from the nearest bar, although it wasn't unbearably loud). The staff were, without exception, excellent - polite, friendly and helpful. We had originally booked a standard room which was ok, if rather small, but fortunately...

Fantastic smart hotel. We stayed in one of the royal spa rooms which we did pay quite a bit more for but we were delighted with it. We had a steam room and a whirlpool bath for two (note the bath isnt designed to be hot like a jacuizzi). Very comfortable massive bed, separate lounge area. The buffet breakfast was extensive. Friendly staff, quiet surroundings & just 10 mins walk from the lakeside & restaurants.

Loved this hotel. Staff at reception could not be nicer or more helpful. The tall man in the bar was awesome and worked so hard. Breakfast was a real let down. It was inconvenient and mean! Could not eat the eggs and the croissants were stale. Made no sense to have to queue for the hot food, croissants and coffee. This puts terrible pressure on the poor staff who are worked off their feet. The hotel is obviously short staffed. What a pity! Everything else was so nice!

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. The charming building has well appointed rooms - nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. We were traveling by car and they helped us with instructions for parking and getting the shuttle to and from the hotel. The breakfast was served in the restaurant nearby and was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

I surprised my boyfriend with this hotel for his 30th. The images looked amazing on the website, and when we arrived we were totally over the moon. The hotel was something else, 5* service, Michelin restauraunt, beautiful decor, very scenic and peaceful location, it was a true romantic getaway, tucked away in the vineyards. A beautiful hotel with stunning views of the lake. Within walking distance to Salo yet far enough away for peace and quiet. I’ll definitely be back.
