Most everything I can say about this hotel is positive, with a couple of exceptions - one that is essentially beyond their control, one that is well within it. The place is relatively new, and that means up to date, clean, attractive, etc. The staff was very helpful and cordial at all times, the breakfast was enjoyable and always plentiful (variety was great too). Having said that, the surrounding neighborhood is rather unattractive, more than a little tired, and not worth spending time in. That, fortunately for the hotel, is beyond their own control so they bear no responsibility, but still, a traveler needs to know since they may wish to walk to interesting sites. The other problem is within the control of the hotel - they have no restaurant. They do make their own breakfast and provide that for guests (very satisfying, too), but there is no restaurant that you can fall back on when you either don't feel like going out, or possibly arrive for a late check in and want something to eat or snack on. When one considers that the hotel isn't in an area I consider ideal for walking about (not dangerous at all, but simply not tourist-friendly, and certainly not attractive at all!!!), one can see the value of an in-house restaurant. Since this is a new hotel, one wonders why they didn't have a restaruant as part of their establishment.
