This was once a beautiful resort but it is showing is age. We had a gorgeous bay view room! One hot tub was drained and one was not hot at all, just a bit warmer than the pool. Second pool was green. Restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. Joel the bartender is awesome! There is also a cafe with good food too. This is also a cat sanctuary with 30 cats who roam the large property. They are well cared for, friendly and have been spayed and don't go in the rooms. Bring your own hair dryer. Taxi is at least $15pp to go to the town or beach. It is very beautiful, quiet and scenic if you want to be with all the husstle and bustle this is not the place. We would like to return next year but not sure if we will if no updates or repairs are done.

The room was outdated,steps were too much and poorly lit at night! The bar on premises did not accept credit cards!! Cash only! The north grind breakfast grill was awesome!! Teddie, the woman was very helpful in answering questions but only there 9-1 pm, afterwards, nobody in office. Big pool and not crowded at all!!!

If this resort is available BOOK IT NOW!! Gorgeous views!!!! Two amazing pools. Beautiful paths to walk along. The sweetest kittens. And the nicest staff ever. The room was so quiet and just sitting on the balcony with nice cup of coffee was the perfect place to spend my mornings while there. There is a quaint coffee shop that has some of the best coffees and sandwiches. My favorite is the ham and fig. The simple little things make the best stays. The bed was very comfy. Water pressure was excellent. Remember you’re on the island so resources like electricity and water are some of the most expensive, so turn off the lights when you leave and keep showers simple. If you need pool or beach towels grab them the first day you are there and swap them only if you need to. Everything was very clean. Huge plus was the kitchenette and the medium sized refrigerator. We went to Kmart to grab snacks and waters and other stuff and it all fit. The taxi driver Stacy, she came to the hotel and told us so much about the island. There is a great photo opportunity in front of one of the most beautiful trees on the resort grounds. Even though the resort is still recovering from Hurricane Marie and Irma they are working on getting some of the shops back open. But the restaurant and bar are open and get option for dinner. Overall the Flamboyan made our stay phenomenal.

I would definitely go again even with the power outage every other day still really worth while. Food was great. Accommodations were better than expected. View was spectacular!!!

It was ok but it definitely could’ve been better and they need to fix their pools if they’re gonna have people swimming in them now because it didn’t look like they kept them clean as they should have and the hot tub was not the best but it was OK

Flamboyan is a centralized location in St. Thomas. The staff is friendly. The rooms are nice. The property and pool is neglected at times

If you’re staying here in the off-season, just be prepared for limited services. I didn’t mind that there was no daily housekeeping, but it became frustrating having to constantly ask for clean towels, with none provided proactively. There were also no brooms or basic supplies available to keep the room tidy on my own. The hot tub was another disappointment—it doesn’t actually get hot, and when I asked, I was told it’s been broken for years. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and kind, but overall the amenities and upkeep fell short of expectations.

The first two nights the lights by the pool were not lit and it was extremely dark in that area. Too many cats. There was cat poop on the walkway to the room. There were roaches in the room. The shower had mold and mildew. The couch was filthy. Thankfully there extra sheets to cover it. I did like the spiral staircase

Okay so overall our stay at the Flamboyan was good. We stood here during the slow season so not a lot of guests and not a lot of staff. The views are beautiful, the property is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Our first night was seamless, check in was easy, Wanda was very friendly. The first thing we noticed was how hot the rooms were. The AC was at 62 but the heat was definitely unbearable. The taxi dispatcher (joseph) was nice but unreliable. Don’t expect to get a taxi after 7pm from him because he won’t pick up.And taxis typically come 15-20 minutes. WiFi was pretty nonexistent and there is no house cleaning so be sure to take your garbage out every night because you will get ants. We went to Root42 the night of my wife’s birthday and they sang happy birthday to her despite not having a protocol for that and gave us a free dessert. This was very sweet and lovely. We ordered the specials and they were tasty compared to the regular food on the menu. Our last night there the water/electricity shut off for 11 hours. Apparently this happens often, but no accommodations or announcements were made and the reception staff eventually went home leaving people sitting poolside with their luggage due to the heat. We were frustrated that we could not shower or do laundry and there was no one to speak to about the situation. The next day Barbra was very nice and went to each person and asked if they needed water and asked how we all slept. Despite that this resort was good.

All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, DeLoren, Ms. Barbara, Ms. Teddy, and can’t forget Mr. Drinky at the bar! Come here, if you want to stay at a safe, comfortable, clean and relaxing place, food is fresh and hit the spot! They will have everything you need and more. The views are exceptional as well as the landscaping. I plan on coming back!
