It started in the morning when I attempted to take a shower. I checked in later in the evening, so I decided to sleep in.
When I got in the shower, there was no hot water, not even warm water. I stay out of town often and I figured the hotel was busy. Maybe there was a high demand for hot water? So I waited about thirty minutes. Still no hot water. I notified the front desk and she told me someone would come up to check the burners on the 7th floor to make sure they were on, and to wait 15 minutes before trying again. After 15 minutes, there was no hot water. After 30 minutes still no hot water.
In total I waited 1.5 hours for hot water, checking every 15 minutes. It never got hot.
After several calls with the front desk, and a freezing cold shower to start my day, I was told the heaters did not work and plumbers were en route to repair the system.
I completed my checkout. At the front desk and was told the hotel manager would call me about the problem. It's a week later, and still no call.
This may sound crazy, but I wish the front desk would have just told me there was no hot water, and they were waiting on a repair crew. I would not have wasted1.5 hours of my morning, and checked out sooner.
I realize sometimes problems go wrong in a hotel, but they have always
been honest and fixed the problem or offered a solution. Not this time.
