THIEVES AND SCAMMERS! STAY AWAY!!!
I stayed at the Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan from April 19 to April 21, 2025, and booked three rooms. At check-in, I was informed there would be a $100 deposit per room, totaling $300, which would be refunded after checkout.
Upon checkout, hotel staff told us everything was fine. No concerns or damages were mentioned, and no one informed us of any problems. However, after we had already left, the hotel withheld the entire $300 deposit.
When I followed up by phone, they claimed that a microwave in one room wasn’t working and that management decided to charge us for all three rooms. This is completely unacceptable and a SCAM! Not only is there no proof of any damage, but none of us used any microwaves in any of the rooms during our stay. The rooms were left in perfect condition.
We were given no opportunity to inspect, dispute, or even be informed of this alleged issue at the time of checkout. The fact that they waited until we had left and then withheld the deposit is both dishonest and unfair.
I spoke to the manager Adrian, who completly LIED to me, changing his story many times, first saying the $300 was part of the room payment, when in fact I used a different credit card to pay, and have a reciept to prove it, and then he decided to say you burned one of the microwaves, WITH no proof. The tone of his voice, he was clearly liying and changing his story.
NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL RUN BY THIEVES AND SCAMMERS.
