Renovation work.
The worst stay of my life. It was torture. I stayed there 3 years ago, the decor was dated then. Much improved now but the renovations we ongoing and directly above my floor. There was constant drilling from 11am such that one couldn't have a conversation or watch a movie with noise cancelling headphones. It was impossible to sleep during the day afyer being out all night. Only one lift worked by the end of the weekend. It would have been nice to message me before the booking with an option to cancel which i would. Breakfast was ok.

The Hotel had kept some of its historical past, decor was tasteful and very pleasing to the eye. Staff at reception very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us detailed instructions about how to get from A to B by metro, by train and by bus. The room was large and modern. The windows opened and we like that. The air conditioning can be easily controlled by the guest. The small fridge was empty, very convenient for us to put our own things.

Not the best
So here’s the pros. Location is good . Close to the metro and is central to everything. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. The service at the front desk is good . They are helpful and speak great English. My room was large and comfortable. The cons, the hotel is not well kept. It’s going through some renovations but the lobby, lift and some parts of it is run down and not well managed. The elevator took very long everyday to get downstairs. I don’t think I will stay there again. For the price of $120 I expected a little more for the name of Novotel .
