The lady at the reception was so nice and sweet up for a chat. The hotel very modern and sparkling clean throughout. The room was huge. I absolutely loved it and I cannot recommend it enough

We had a very nice stay at The Sleeping Bear. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Please be aware with no lift it is a little tricky getting up and down the stairs if you are less mobile. An excellent stay!

I stayed at the Sleeping Bear as a base for a two night trip to the Jurassic coast. I travelled by rail, its a ten minute walk up from the station with nearby bus stops close by. I stayed in room 2 in the courtyard, I appreciated this as I'm not good with stairs. This was a good size room, with a double bed and a large ensuite bathroom. There's freeview tv& hot drinks and biscuits: They also offered free premium coffee from a maker in the lobby. Although the restaurant isn't currently in use, there's a excellent selection of café and restaurants nearby for breakfast. All in all a good stay.

Had a fan in the room you could use for the heat. Very easy parking for cars. Longer spaces at the front for long cars. Vending machine at the bottom of the stairs. Very impressed! Would definitely stay here again

We upgraded to a suite and were very impressed with our room, spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel was tastefully decorated throughout. Close to good bars and restaurant . Highly recommended

We arrived late at the Sleeping Bear Hotel and the self check-in was incredibly easy and smooth. We simply pressed the green button by the door and followed the instructions. Walking through the hallway, staircase and lovely sitting/living room area with my daughter, we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and cosy everything looked. There were lots of comfortable sofas with cushions, making it feel just like home, and we loved that we could make coffee from the machine whenever we wanted. Our room was very clean and cosy, and the mattress was unbelievably comfortable and soft. At check-out, the two lovely ladies at reception even found me a takeaway cup so I could take my coffee with me. A truly wonderful stay — I will definitely be coming back!

Great room and right in the middle of downtown, only a few blocks from the train station. Very comfortable accommodation with soft fluffy towels and plenty of bathroom amenities. Quiet, and close to great restaurants.

Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Leider ist kaum jemand da und nachts ist niemand im Hotel, nur eine Notfallnummer. Es ist eine Unterkunft mit ordentlichen aber hellhörigen Zimmern ohne Frühstück, Bar oder Restaurant.

The tv in the room didn’t work and the room was very hot, but the helpfulness of the staff with a different issue more than made up for it! The room was spacious and clean, and the very reasonably priced vending machine in the corridor was useful given there are no other food options at the hotel. The location is central with a big car park nearby, just make sure to pre-book taxis if you need one.

Perfect stay for anyone visiting Dorchester. Hotel is super clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Parking needs to be pre-booked but there are a number of car parks close by. Hotel is 'room only' which works really well as there is no pressure to get to breakfast! Loads of choices within a 5 minute walk of the hotel which includes the 'Horse with the Red Umbrella' and the Dorset Museum. Room's are comfy and provide everything you need for your stay. There is a handy vending machine wher you can buy drinks and snacks as well as complimentary tea/coffee. The hotel has a dining room which can be used by guest to eat take-aways etc., plates and cutlery are provided. All-in-all a great hotel and very good value for money. Oh and did I mention they are dog friendly (check before you book though). Will definitely stay here again as there are many things still to see in Dorchester.
