I was in the Sedona area for a hiking trip, traveling solo. The Desert Quail was clean, safe, and in a great area close to the trails I wanted to hike. Would much rather stay here in Oak Creek than in crazy busy downtown Sedona. Great food within walking distance as well. I'd stay here again.

The owner and I had a long conversation about the area and the property. The rooms are comfortable and clean but somewhat dated. The owner is gradually updating the rooms. The property is in a safe area and very conveniently located near some really good restaurants, etc. It is a short drive to downtown Sedona so you can easily visit and take in the sights without being in the middle of a lot of activity when you're ready to rest.
