This hotel is located in a very convenient neighborhood. 5 minutes walk to Hakata Station, and there is plenty of restaurants nearby. The highlight of the stay is the lobby where you can sit down and enjoy a wide range of books on display. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were kind and attentive.

Below expectations
Firstly, do not expect the common mindset of having club lounge access. The lounge does not provide breakfast and there is only a tea time and bar time in the evening. Booking with club lounge access is also not having a private check in counter. Overall cleanliness is acceptable but the room cleaning is bare minimal if you do not place the “make up room sign” on the door everyday. Shower heating is also too sensitive with just a slight adjustment, the water will turn from cold to super hot. Location wise is also a bit far from the main Hakata station. Having to walk for 10 mins everyday when going out can be tiring

Nice refuge
After getting sick at a hotel in Beppu, it was nice to get back to the Basics in Fukuoka. Hotel is quiet and has a library like quiet atmosphere. Rooms vary in size based on rates. Large rooms are available.

Cosy hotel with good spaces in room.
Thank you for taking care of our requests. About 10mins stroll to Hakata station. There is a convenient shop right beside it. One of the nearest hotel to airport. Fare less than 2000yen. The only thing perhaps is not so fascinating is the small bathroom/toilet.

I stayed 5 nights due to typhoon in Kyushu so I cancelled my plan in Beppu and stayed in Hakata. The location is good as you can walk to Hakata station in 7-10 minute and lots of restaurants nearby. All staffs are super helpful and I would like to say thank you to Ms. Fujimoto at check-in as I got 3 separate bookings for entire stay cause plan changed due to typhoon. She is super helpful to sort it out for me and fulfil my request with my family . Also Ms. Nana is super helpful too before my arrival as I need to arrange some parcel to send to hotel and I’m glad I can meet her to say thank you in person during my stay .
