Over rated and expensive
We had booked a room with a double bed and they gave us a twin bed. They only half sorted it out. The bed was not very comfortable either. There was a good buffet choice for breakfast. We had booked a room with a balcony. However, we couldn't use it much because of smokers and all the noisy building construction over the road. The hotel is definitely over rated and expensive.

The two girls in the reception were very friendly and helpful. Also the guy in the bar. They all gave us info restaurants exchanges transport etc. hotel is comfy gym was big and a good selection of machines. Swimming pool was small but nice to swim in and cool down. Breakfast was also good and had everything i usually have for breakfast.

A very kind and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable, but is advertised as soundproofed; apparently this is not enough to keep out the noise from the Salsa bar across the street, which plays loud music into the mornings on weekends. Minibar needs a pricelist.

Smelled like cigarettes throughout the hotel. Also, very loud on the room floors. We books this for the gym. While it had a lot of pieces, it was a bit of a mess with random machines, weights, etc. Front desk staff was pleasant.

Albania Adventure
Mostly given 4 stars on the various apps, as well as what appeared to be a municipal tourist authority, I’d give it 3.5 at best. We were only there for 1 night, our last in the country, so our experience was somewhat limited. The location in Blloku is great! in the thick of the action, restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Front desk greeting was friendly and helpful, though her English was only slightly better than my nearly nonexistent Albanian. The rest of the staff were very good, giving me a free coffee early in the morning before we left, since we had to go before breakfast was served. Our room was large enough to not feel cramped, and the heat was very effective. Per usual in Albania, the bathroom was rather small, but the lighting was good, the toilet and tp (which is surprisingly good throughout the country) were high quality, and there’s a bidet. We didn’t see any bathtubs in 10 days in Albania but the shower had plenty of hot water, and strong pressure with nice toiletries. But the real reason it dropped the half star to 3.5 was the spa. There’s an indoor unheated pool that was large and deep enough with equipment for water exercise. It was very nice and available at no added charge. There was a good sized sauna and steam room but the sauna wasn’t turned on when we got there and the steam was not working at all. Both of those are at an added charge, if you want to use them, let them know at least an hour ahead of your visit. A good, but not great.

Vennetur i Tirana
Vi var fire som bodde en uke på Grand Hotel & SPA i september. Det er et koselig og rolig hotell som ligger perfekt til for utflukter i Tirana. Vi ble godt mottatt i resepsjonen. Rommene var romslige, og rensligheten var god. Vi har bare én ting å merke oss om oppholdet. Vi manglet en stol på balkongen vår som vi aldri fikk selv om vi fortalte resepsjonen om det flere ganger. Vi var i bassenget et par ganger og det var ganske OK selv om det var veldig varmt i både garderoben og bassengområdet. Frokosten var god. Jeg vil fremheve bartenderen som en spesielt kreativ og hjelpsom person. Han lot ikke det faktum at han ikke hadde laget irsk kaffe før stoppe ham. Han googlet oppskriften og lagde en deilig irsk kaffe til oss. Jeg kan trygt anbefale Grand Hotel & SPA og kommer gjerne tilbake
