This was like a boutique hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Room size was bigger than any of the other places we stayed! There is not daily cleaning but if you need anything, staff is available.

Slightly strange absent staff set up and obvs no breakfast or bar or shared spaces etc BUT very very central (seemed EVERYWHERE was a short bus ride away!!). What interaction we did have with the staff (5 mins at check in) was simple, efficient and polite. The inexpensive washer/dryer laundry was a godsend. The room was super neat tidy and clean. It was an excellent base shilst in Kyoto! Cheers !

If you're confused and can't get in or check in, pick up the phone. The one staff person will come to the rescue. Small centipede on the bed, but otherwise clean.
