Bordeaux. What a city. Such a beautiful place, everything we love about France, from dining and drinking coffee in the many beautiful squares, to taking river taxis to visit La Cité de Vin and the local food market. The city has a great relaxed vibe.

A fantastic city to visit. Allow for more than two and a half days if you can. It is a treasure trove of things to do and see. St Emillon a highlight. The tram system within Bordeaux is very efficient and so quick and easy to use.

Definitely bring a raincoat & umbrella! And buy a tram ticket, e.g, 72 hour ticket for a weekend stay was €13 - amazing value way to get around the city and to/from the airport.

"Un excellent hôtel, neuf avec de grandes chambres très confortable et parfaitement équipées
Un peu excentre par contre
Restaurant japonais excellent mais service ultra lent, à la limite de l’insupportable "
