It's feeding time at the zoo! If you want to be reminded of some of the great animals our world is home to, you might want to pay a visit to Cotswold Wildlife Park, located 2.5 mi (4.1 km) from central Burford. If you have fun at Cotswold Wildlife Park, you'll love Crocodiles of the World, located nearby.
The centre of Burford is home to cultural attractions such as Tolsey Museum, so you might want to stop by during your stay. If you want to experience more of the culture Burford has to offer, head to Cotswold Wildlife Park, Crocodiles of the World, and Cotswolds Woollen Weavers.
If you're interested in local churches, the heart of Burford is home to Church of St John the Baptist. You could also start your cultural experience by heading over to the cathedral in the area.
Notable for its gardens, Burford features attractions such as Cotswold Wildlife Park and Tolsey Museum. This welcoming city has something for everyone including bars and sights like Church of St John the Baptist and River Windrush—all within a rural setting.
If you like walking, head along the Windrush valley to the hamlet of Widford where you'll find the beautiful medieval church of St Oswald in the middle of a field. I saw Egrets in the marshes.

Burford an interesting town. Lots of individual shops and places to eat. Enjoyable place to spend a few hours wandering around. A good base to explore the Cotswolds.

Really lovely town with plenty of eating/stay options, though the shopping is a tad expensive. Lovely and clean.

Found only one restaurant open after 6- and that was nothing to write home about.
"What a great hotel. Brilliant sized rooms with everything you need for your stop. The pizza is the bar on the evening was great and at a good price. Breakfast in the morning was really good quality. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stop in this area."
"The Holiday Inn at Peartree has been my choice of hotel for the last 6 years of travelling to Oxford whilst my daughter was at University. This is the perfect location, with super friendly staff, lovely rooms and a great restaurant. Highly recommended. "
"I asked for a small room and that is what it was. It would be great for an Oxford student visiting or a seasoned traveler more concerned with the schedule and not the room. Great room for the price, clean and easy. They have bigger rooms and I have not seen them. I was pleased with what I got."
"We spent one night here with our dog - who was very pleased to have been provided with his own bed! Everything was excellent - the room was wonderfully clean with nice additions (water in the fridge, coffee, slippers & gowns etc. ), fantastic location, just round the corner from Blenheim Palace and right in the centre of town. Lovely breakfast in the morning and the staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. "
