Surprisingly fun town with a beautiful downtown and amazing food options. The history around town at your finger tips against the striking beauty of the Helena valley make for unforgettable vacations. Watch out for one ways!

We went to visit the capitol building and it is beautiful. The sergeant f arms showed us all around, even places that are not typically open to the public.

Historical downtown Helena was smaller than we expected, but the residents are big on welcoming outsiders. I'd be remiss if I didn't suggest stopping by the Sole Sisters store for fabulous prices on women's clothing & the Hotler Museum - free on Fri.

Some people wouldn't like the ajacent area. Its the local homeless shelter, but there's nothing to worry about. The local homeless are very respectful and quite nice. I took my dog outside alone around 2 in the morning and felt perfectly fine.

Helena may be the capital of MT, yes way better than Great Falls, but lacks the ambience of Bozeman.
