"About 1/2 of the rooms at Liwu are hostel style, and the other 1/2 are hotel rooms. It's very reasonably priced, the rooms are very spacious, and the breakfast was quite good (buffet style). There aren't a lot of restaurants within walking distance for dinner, especially after around 8pm. The owner and staff are very hospitable."

"This is a really beautiful place to come and stay. They very kindly gave us an upgrade as they had the space. The staff were AMAZING to us, they were so helpful. The room was excellent. Super clean and really, really comfortable and well decorated. We would definitely come back if we stayed in Hualien again. "
