area looked lovely but didnt use as we were only there for a few days and went to the beach. Food and drinks are quite pricey and so for a family adds up quickly. Although nearby towns are walking distance they are a little too far to walk to eat - we went part way to Opatija and you do need to walk by the road and not necessarily a pleasant...

Little details however betray its pretentions… the layout of the room (215) was very awkward with too much big furniture to get round and it was impossible to shower (over the bath) without flooding the floor - why are there no rooms with showers? Breakfast was great and the restaurant staff deserve a gold star! Its rare to see so many smiles ;-)
Against all their efforts an unfortunate incident happened on one night but it was handled perfectly by the very capable General Manager.

"A really lovely hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and looked all the way along the coastline. The room was spotless and very comfortable- the bed was fabulous. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of variety. The service was outstanding and the view was incredible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great price for what was offered."
