You can spend an afternoon studying the exhibits at Lofotr Viking Museum in Bostad. Amble around the area's white-sand beaches or experience its museums.
"Words and pictures cannot describe the beauty of Lofoten and we were lucky enough to have such an experience. The mountains are majestic and breath taking - everywhere we looked! The cabins are wonderful especially those facing the water. Hiking the 1,987 steps of Reinebrining is 100% worth it for the best views to experience. The local fish and chips snack bar has the nicest person to take your order. The drives are awesome from end to end with a few places to eat, especially in Reine."
"Excellent place! It was centrally located - ideal for exploring the north and south areas of the islands. No more than 1.5 hours away from all the tourist sites.
The place is beautiful. The facilities were small but clean - all updated. We had a mini kitchen - with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, etc.
the manager/ owner & staff was very friendly & helpful.
The place was perfect for viewing Northern lights. We were lucky to see them 2 nights in a row.
Few notes - there is no daily cleaning service during your stay. But they provide you with fresh towels when needed. The showers, as some reviewers noted, can deplete the hot water fast. Either do quick showers (7 mins max) or take 45 mins break in between 2 showers.
Will stay here again! Highly recommend "
"Very kind, understanding and considerate gentleman at reception when checking in & out understood our problems with changing train times and substitute bus timetables.
Breakfast had good choice, tasty and was well presented.
Close to water front."
