Not what we booked
We booked this hotel because it was supposed to be only 100 meters away from the Surat Thani train station -according to the map that shows you the location of the hotel - from where our bus to the ferry left early the next day. This information was totally wrong. After 3 different taxi drivers tried to find this hotel without success we finally got lucky that the bus office opened and one of their employees knew where that "hotel" was. It turned out to be 10 km away from where it was supposed to be on the other side of the river in the middle of nowhere. Needless to say that there was not a single restaurant or store nearby and we hadn't eaten since breakfast. The staff only spoke thai not a single word of english but with the help of the - then 4th cab driver - we were able to get some rice. Not sure why this place - 10 single bungalows - is even listed on Hotels.com. And with the wrong location showing up on the map. Worst experience ever.
