Horrible experience which lasted all but 30 minutes. We showed up and the van that shuttled us from the airport to the location had a very difficult time finding this place. Once we arrived, which was in a not so good part of Bangkok, he was laughing and said this is not a good area and this is a bad hotel. We didn’t take his word for it and stayed to check in.
We all checked into our rooms and for some reason we were taken to different floors. There was absolutely no security whatsoever for our belongings. We did not feel safe at all.
Each of us was given a password to the WiFi, which only worked on our floor.
The bed was hard as a rock and the furniture all seemed to be made of plywood.
We immediately gathered our stuff and requested for taxis to pick us up. We found a new hotel on the Expedia website and asked the taxi to take us there. We ended up booking our new hotel, which was amazing....we were treated like kings and Queens, and they saw the rate that Expedia was offering us and gave it us at a lower cost.
The staff at L’Hotel were nice.....but they had no uniforms and were walking around in furry slippers and their hair all a mess.
We went to Bangkok to feel like were on vacation, not worry if we would live to see another day or if our belongings would still be there when we returned to our rooms.
Very very upsetting Expedia!
