Casa Mariposa @La Puntilla, house 7A, ocean front with private pool, BEACHFRONT

We recently returned from our stay at Casa Mariposa (we had a cab driver tell us that Mariposa means Butterfly not sure if that is true) and we could not have been more please with our stay. The house was so very comfortable and Amy and Vanessa were very attentive when we needed them. We were 5 adults and had plenty of room. Beds were comfortable which is so important. The house was clean and Barbara the housekeeper came a couple of times while we were there and did a great job. Unfortunately the dishwasher was not working during our stay. Apparently the hard water causes problems with many of the motors causing them to breakdown. This was not ideal but we managed. Be sure to get as many bottles of water from the water delivery people when they come by. We ran out of drinking water on the last day and had our bottle sitting outside for 3 days but no delivery. Uber was great to get around and much cheaper than the cabs. Frascati was a great place to have dinner and an easy walk. Skip the pizza delivery it was terrible. Getting some ants traps might be a good idea. We had a bit of a problem with ants on the kitchen counters. Vanessa brought us some spray but we were not comfortable spraying in the kitchen so we learned to live together. Make sure you clear off the counters every night. Having the pool was wonderful. We spent most of our time at the house, why leave? We watched the boats coming and going, swam in the pool and generally had one of the best vacations ever. Oh and don't forget to visit the fish market a short walk away. Fresh fish is brought in right off the boats a couple of times a day. We cooked most of our meals at home and never ate so well. Thanks you Amy, Vanessa and the property owner. This was our first trip to Bucerias/La Cruz and we hope to return. We would definitely consider Casa Mariposa for our next stay.

Cash mariposa is a beautiful well equipped property, it has all the amenities you need and then some, the private pool is a wonderful feature and yard is maintained beautifully,

The view from this home cannot be beat with sailboats bobbing off the coast and the mountains in the distance across the bay. Nice secure area with gate & beach guards and the landscaping for the area is nicely maintained. When we first arrived, we had issues with the lockbox and it took a while to actually get into the house . Not fun after a full day of traveling for the 5 of us. The beach in front is very rocky and you cannot easily swim there so we drove to different beaches. The Sunday market was great to walk to down by the Marina. Nice newer super markets 10 min. away. La Cruz is a smaller town so not the hustle & bustle of PV. Close drive to Punta Mita and Sayulita. I will be back!

La Puntilla is a fabulous, quiet, waterfront location away from the traffic, construction noise and dust of Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias. The view from the house is awesome. We had a front row seat for all the fireworks ringing the Bay on New Year's Eve. The house is attractive, spacious and comfortable. Like every property, particularly in another country and climate, there were some minor quirks but Vanessa, the property manager, was quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. In La Cruz, we enjoyed the Sunday Market, the breakfast burritos and margaritas at La Cruz Inn, as well as meals at Frascati's and La Peska, restaurants at the marina..... all easy walking distance down the beach from the house. We are definitely returning to Casa Mariposa.

Extreme value for your money. House is directly on the beach (just on the other side of your private pool) . Everyone associated with this property is a pleasure to work with! All good!

Of many vacations to PV, this was the first time staying in the La Cruz and Bucerias area. In addition we had previously stayed only in resorts in Mexico. So, this was the first time that we had rented a vacation home in the PV area. Private, safe and secure with a 5 star view. 10 minute walk down the beach to shops and restaurants in La Cruz and a 10 minute drive to Bucerias. The home itself was great, all the amenities you would expect renting a home. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the home was clean. Amy made the process easy and straight forward, while Vanessa checked in on us to ensure everything was good. I would recommend renting a vehicle (Gecko Car Rentals) in Bucerias. If you are planning some day trips, the excursions leave from Neuvo Vallarta marina just south of Bucerias. Restaurants we loved included Frascati's and La Peska at the La Cruz marian, Karen's Place in Bucerias and our favorite was La Cruz Inn for a wide variety of choices to satisfy everyone's taste. We'll be back for sure!

My husband and I met up with our daughter and her boyfriend during their bike trip through Mexico, and chose Casa Mariposa for a week of rest, enjoying each other’s company, work catchup and exploring the area. The house suited us perfectly. Lots of space to spread out inside and out, a well-equipped kitchen to cook together, our choice of spots to dine/play cards, comfortable beds, blessed air conditioning, and a short walk down the beach to a bustling, well-stocked (clean!) cluster of fish markets. Enjoyed watching pelicans soaring over the beach. Close to Puerto Vallarta but we only got there once (worth it to see the show Savia; check it out.) Amy was on-site and was helpful and solicitous of our comfort and needs. A great experience!

Casa Mariposa is everything it says it is in the description and more! Beautiful views and a very well stocked house. Amy was wonderful if we needed anything and Maria came to the house and did massages for all of us. She is the nicest lady I have ever met! We will definitely be back!
