We had booked two large rooms which according to the pictures included a fridge, microwave etc. The rooms we had only had a pod coffee machine with 4 pods no milk, sugar not even a kettle or a spoon. Although the room was clean it was very basic not what we had expected. As there was no reception to make a complain we tried the phone number but couldn't get through. We filled the how was your check in sent by Hotels.com and told them about the room and was told this would be sent to the hotel but we never heard anything from either. The first day we were there building work was carried out at the building next to the hotel. drilling and hammering from just after 7am and continued all day fortunately this was the only day it happened. In the evening and early morning there was a constant noise as people seemed to be slamming doors. On Friday morning our last one. There was a lot of banging on doors around 4am I think on the third floor. Apparently someone rang the police the person left the building setting the fire alarm off as they left. We had to leave the building and stand in the cold the police arrived but could not turn the alarm off or contact anyone from the hotel. After nearly an hour the police told us to smash the alarms in our rooms to turn them off but fortunately they stopped. Some single women had been terrified by the person banging on their door. I would certainly not stop here again or recommend this hotel to anyone

Koncept's Concept Needs Improvement

I was not impressed with the kiosk check-in system. When I added an extra day to my stay I had to go through a 30-minute process of checking out and checking in. I also had a package which needed to be delivered to the hotel but there is no hotel staff there to receive it.

A fully Digital Experience

Every interaction is digital - I had no human interaction during my stay. This isn't really an issue as the check-in and door-key app worked well except on first arrival, when it wasn't clear that Bluetooth needs to be activated for the app. Also... never leave your phone behind in the room! The only negative was the load music from the adjoining bar - I think my room shared a wall which is clearly not very thick! Other than that, it was what I needed for my stay and well located in the town. I would stay again.

Hotelli on käytännössä todella hyvällä paikalla - isoimmat nähtävyydet lähellä ja rautatieasema (ei kuitenkaan naapurissa). Lähettyvillä useita ravintoloita aivan kävelymatkan päässä. Omaan makuun lähikadut liian täynnä turisteja, mutta liikenneyhteydet eripuolille kaupunkia hyvin saavutettavissa mm. Rathaus-asema maan alla aivan hotellin vieressä. Huoneessa voisi olla mainos tai kaksi liikenneyhteyksistä tai sivuista joista löytää tietoa, koska respaa ei ole. Sisääntuloaula/ovikorttitulostus ainakin oman kirjaustumisaikana (klo 15) pääsi ruuhkautumaan ja oli ahdasta. Äänieristys ei ollut kovinkaan kaksinen. Kadulta ja käytävästä kuului ääniä. Huonekaluissa jonkun verran erilaisia tahroja. Suihku iso / vessaosa oli hieman tiivis.

Great place to stay. Lively outside on the weekend, so not somewhere for people who like quiet. I loved it though. Great location. Not far to the cathedral, river or station. Couldn't fault anything.

Modern and clean central hotel

The apartment is in great condition and central location . Checking in time can be problematic as all people are checking at the same time with a self checking machine and can take a bit of time to do so especially when you are not familiar with technology. As a result, there was a long delay during my check in . Otherwise, this is a great value and very comfortable hotel .

Location was perfect. Bang in the middle of everything. No problem getting out in the morning to fetch a coffee and breakfast. A little noisy (my room was opposite a popular bar), but that was not a problem for me. Don't book if you need absolute silence to sleep.

Couldn’t really give an excellent for staff because there was none, but checking in was pretty easy. Even though we don’t speak German we were able to figure it out! The elevator is super tiny and we almost didn’t fit the two of us with our two bags but we just laughed every time we squeezed in! A great stay and would do it again.

Room was nice but bathroom layout awkward (had to sit sideways on toilet so knees didn’t hit the wall). Convenient location overlooking square but noisy.

This place is in the best location you could ask for. The cleaning was second to none and the beds are really comfy. The maintenance leaves room for improvement, TV in room 301 does not work, foot prints on the wall, broken bathroom heater and damaged wall art.

Location is fantastic and rooms are fine. Drilling started at 8AM, and thin walls both between the rooms and to the street outside meant there was a lot of noise. Lack of staff even in the middle of the day made checking in difficult, as the automated system is overly complicated.

Not really a fan of the automated check in and check out it seems. Because of this, there is no where to leave luggage before check in and after check out; the information recommends a kiosk a good walk away but they turned me away with my bagpack and small suitcase (genuienly is small; no taller than my knee), or the main train station lockers. The room seemed quiet; was clean and very well furnished. I will be returning to Cologne next year, and will unfortunately be trying my luck with an alternate hotel because I don’t want to wheel my suitcase around with me all day when I arrive.

There is no concierge desk at this property. I failed to recieve and email from the hotel with my entry code for the front door. I waited on the street for 45 minutes until another hotel guest was exiting the building. I had to plead to be let in the front door before I could check myself in. An email to the hotel failed to get a reply. Very poor customer service.
