BEWARE of ROOM 12!
BUYER BEWARE! Unknown to us when booking was that Casa de Solana has a sister B & B across the road from the main house known as the Victorian House where our ROOM#12 was located.This started our journey toward a less than stellar stay.
We had pre-arranged a late arrival which required communication with the innkeeper about protocols for accessing our room. I will say that the innkeeper contacted us three times to make sure that we understood the steps needed to get into our room...key entry number, letter and key left with instructions and location of room. What we were absolutely NOT told was that the letter was not in Casa de Solana but in the Victorian House. We entered Casa upon our arrival with the key code but there was no letter. Imagine wandering around the streets at 12:30 in the morning trying to find a way into our room. The telephone calls told me that the room was around the back of the house and up the stairs but there was NO mention of the fact that we were to get the letter from the Victorian House rather than Casa de Solana, a major and important bit of information!
Intuition finally took over and having a sense that I should try entering Victorian House, I did so and finally found the letter! At 1:30 am, we were in our room.
The mattress on the bed was worn into depressions made by prior guests. The pillows were flat as boards. The shower rod collapsed,repaired the next day. The room was never serviced once during our entire stay!
Breakfasts not great.
