Amazing service
Nothing but good words to say about my trip. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Right outside the Acropoli metro station. Less than a few minutes walk to the south slope entrance of the Acropolis, and within easy walking distance to most of the relevant sites in central Athens.
On the service front. I had a room booked and was extremely early getting to the hotel, around 9 AM. I asked if it was OK to leave my luggage so I could get a head out but was actually given my room early which helped tremendously.
On check out was when things went above and beyond. I asked if it was possible to checkout slightly later than normal, due to my late flight, to which they agreed. However on the day it turned out that there were unannounced strikes on the metro. As the receptionist knew I was leaving that day she checked to see how I was leaving and I was indeed meant to use the metro.
The receptionist then went to the Acropoli station on my behalf to find out exactly what was going on and which stations would be affected. It turned out that all the central stations were going to be closed and had I not been informed I would have been in quite the bind. Instead, they were able to order me a taxi and was able to easily get to the airport.
My only regret is not finding out the receptionists name so I could personally give her a shout out.
If I was in Athens again, I would absolutely be looking at staying here again.
