I thought we reserved a unit with en-suite bathroom, but was given a family room with shared shower units with another family room. The occupiers from the other family room said they’re from New York, but apparently they’re originally from Mainland China. They have the extremely annoying habit of not flushing the toilet. Early in the morning I went into a toilet seeing (and smelling, of course) un-flushed feces! Wow what “New-Yorkers”! The rooms are very basic! Absolutely no frills, but charged at five-star prices. The curtains leaked light, which affected me badly as I slept on the bed closest to the window. Fortunately, it was only a sleepover place for my journey. I soon forgot about the rather unpleasant memory overall (and recalled it only upon prompting to write a review).

Highly recommended

Very nice accommodations. Very clean, comfortable beds. Bedroom area very large, lots of room to spread out. Nice kitchen/lounge area. Would stay here again.

Pivot to South Coast and Blue Lagoon

Convenient for Blue lagoon. Connection to the South Coast route. Nice restaurant next door if you're hungry. Room we stayed in were all bunks, comfortable sleep. Hosts were easy to reach by phone.

Can't beat the price for the comfort

The place was extremely clean and had all the necessities for a wonderful weekend trip to Iceland! Check in and check out was very easy. The rooms are very functional and the mattresses were more comfortable here than some nicer hotels I have stayed in. While the bathrooms are shared, there are multiple and each equipped with toilet, shower, and sink. More than this, they were always clean and there was never was a wait to use them. It was nice there was a fridge and microwave available for use. As it is recommended in most places in Iceland, having a car was most definitely useful as it does not seem there is much public transportation in the area. The location is in close proximity to the Blue Lagoon, as well at sightseeing spots like "The Bridge Between Two Continents". Lastly, the price-point of this location is extremely fair for what is provided. My two friends and I enjoyed our trip and feel like we stayed in the perfect location. We recommend for anyone on a budget looking for a more than comfortable place to stay.

There are 6 beds to a room and so the property offers good value for money. However for my family it did not suit us. Main reason being that after getting up very early to get the flight we wanted to get an early night. However: the light in our room was also on the same switch as the lounge / eating area and so when the Spanish guys in the next room arrived, somebody had to be in darkness. Two of the duvets smelled as if they had not been cleaned properly and the pictures suggest that there is a cooking hob when there is only a microwave. If you want more hostel than guesthouse then this may suit.

Great place to stay for the sites in the south west. Easy to get to. Apartment perfect for what we want. Perfect for relaxing in the evening. Went to 3 local places to eat. Meals were lovely. Papas do the best burger. Next door do a fab fish and chips. Comunication was great. Hanna is lovely. The beds are very comfy. Slept really well. The only thing i would say is missing, is a toaster. Something quick in the morning. Cant beat abit of toast. Fab holiday. Would def go back...😁
