Beautiful gem, with stunning accommodation

An amazingly beautiful place. We were just sorry that we only had one night here. We will definitely be returning as there is so much to see and do

Peace and quiet in a lovely setting.

Extraordinary guest house. Full of charming period features and creations from many visiting artists. Would have appreciated a tour of the house and some of the estate on arrival. A volunteer kindly gave us information during our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The surroundings were very appealing and picturesque. Only wish I could have used wifi of the house as my mobile network was not present there. Would recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. It is the most quiet setting I have ever experienced. Breakfast offering was very good quality.

When we arrived the owner seemed agitated and asked if we had reservations. There was feces in the toilet abd we wondered how clean the room was Beds were not comfortable breakfast was good owner disappeared and we were not able to say goodbye or thank her

Charmingly rustic

We stayed in the Garden cottage; rustic grey stone at the corner of a walled garden with walls two feet thick, wooden beams and a log burner but also modern touches like feather duvets, central heating plus a very good selection of books. Glynhir Mansions is set in the middle of beautiful rolling hills with a waterfall a very short walk away but there is a quite large town less than 3 miles away and with only about ½ an hour travel to Swansea it’s a very good location for exploring South Wales. For those more sociable than us there are also apartments surrounding a charming courtyard, but we had a lovely tranquil holiday.

Magical & relaxing.

We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful, homey location! We stayed in the Brewhouse and loved every minute we were there. Made a fire about every evening and read till bedtime...even the 9 year old that was with us! Didn't turn on the TV 1 time! Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but a small town is only 5 minutes away. The only cons were: Breakfast not included unless you are in a B&B room - the brewhouse is not considered to be. And that we couldn't stay longer! Thanks, Rupert! 5 stars for sure!
Barbara, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

This was probably a glorious place in its day, but it needs a lot of TLC. My room was lovely, feather pillows were comfy, but the bed was rather soft. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. There was tea service in the room, but I had to wash the kettle as it was dusty and there were spider webs in the bedroom window. The bedroom door would not lock from the outside side. After I arrived, I didn't see a person until breakfast. The breakfast, btw, was very good. It's in a remote, quiet area, so it depends on what you value
Melanie, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

They never made it possible for me to stay in the property. Because on first day they didn't pickup my calls, nor open the main gate, even did not gave me keys and finally they also did not refund my money. They are totally fake and drama.

It's a very old house and because of that, heating was sparse (I was cold the entire time). Lots of character with peacocks, pigs, and geese. The first night, the internet was just fine. But by the next morning it wasn't working for the next 16 hours. I don't use it for work, so that wasn't so much of a problem. The host is charming but I couldn't reach her by phone. So if you're understanding about certain things, you'll enjoy this property.
