My girlfriend and I checked in on Friday, and shortly after entering our room, we went to check out the pool. Unfortunately, my girlfriend injured herself when she stepped on an unfinished area of the pool, resulting in a deep cut to the bottom of her foot. This injury left her unable to walk for the remainder of the trip.
She was taken to the on-site nurse, who initially assessed the injury as superficial. However, once the blood was cleaned, it became apparent that the cut was much deeper than originally thought. There was also some confusion and disagreement among the staff regarding who would cover the medical expenses—the hotel or us—which added to the frustration of the situation.
Overall, the lack of clear communication and the apparent indifference to the severity of the injury were concerning and disappointing.
