Loved staying at the Castle Hotel. The staff were super friendly, checkin was quick, and for being above a bar- it wasn’t too loud. It is super close to the beach and the castle ruins and a brief 5 minute walk to all kinds of cute restaurants and shops. The only thing of note was the toilet took a bit to flush and the shower water was more tepid than hot but overall, I can’t say enough good things.

This is less a hotel, and more bed and breakfast. I was disappointment by not being able to drop a bag before check-in and the limited breakfast options. But the room was very comfortable, warm, and clean. The standby light from the TV was bright, but this is my only complaint with the actual room.

Stayed in Superior room with sea view which was excellent. No issue with checking in via bar, staff friendly and good location with free on road parking nearby. Went out for breakfast as not keen on continental which was only option.

The rooms which are comfortable and well appointed are above a popular public house. My only criticism is that we were woken up on two occasions during the night by noisy residents which spoilt our stay.

The customer service was second to none. As soon as we arrived at the Castle, the barman appeared with quiet professionalism at our side and showed us our room. He was so polite and on top of his job, we were very impressed. The room was very well decorated and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
