Overall I would recommend our stay for what it was. The main factor we stayed here was price point, location, and parking. You are able to park right in front of the house, it is an affordable price point, and is located close enough to the French quarter. You get what you pay for though. It’s not in a great area. There are allot of homeless people, run down buildings, and sketchy people nearby. If you are a young woman I would not recommend walking alone at night. There are some good places to eat nearby and it is close to the street car that will take you to the French quarter. There’s also a bus but I wouldn’t recommend taking that. The staff was nice. Melissa greeted us and gave us good recommendations. She was very kind. But don’t expect to see the staff much of your visit if at all. To get inside the house and rooms there’s codes you enter into a keypad. The room was clean but it’s a shared house. You’re door to door with people so you can hear all their business. The bathrooms are private but are outside the room so it’s a bit inconvenient. The rooms were clean and bed nice but the house smelt like there was water damage in the walls. There is also no where to fill up water on the property. There is a fridge inside the room and microwave in the kitchen. For what the place is, it’s a place to crash that’s affordable. If you want to do anything other than sleep and shower or want to be in a nicer part of town, I’d look elsewhere. Overall it’s good value I’d say.

Pros: Charming, clean, and well-kept property in a great location. Cons: Privacy is an issue. The downstairs room is directly connected to the caretaker’s room, and the wall/door is so thin it feels like they’re in the room with you — you can hear every word, cough, and movement.

Slechte kamer, lawaaierige accomodatie.

Schimmelgeur aanwezig in de hele accomodatie. In de kamer op de gelijkvloers meerdere blazers om deze geur wat te verhelpen wat veel lawaai gaf. In de kamer op de gelijkvloers een deur met erachter precies een living waardoor je alles kon horen wat er in de ruimte ernaast gebeurde. Hier speelde een man van 's ochtends vroeg tot laat tv, muziek met wat gefluit, boeren en telefoon ertussen. De locatie is goed, best in de avond een uber terug nemen maar overdag zeker goed in orde.

Loved this place

We loved it. Affordable, no staff to worry about. Close enough to walk to both the superdome and the French quarter, but the st. Charles street cars right there! It was great. Only problem was that the WiFi was so slow as to be almost nonexistent. But other than that, a great stay.

Everything was fine. A few minor issues: no glasses in room, low water pressure in shower. Very quiet. Never saw any staff people.

Ein wunderschönes altes Haus. Genug Parplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Anbindung in die Stadt und Autobahn super. Kaffee und Tee konnte man sich selbst zubereiten in der Küche, der Herd ist nicht funktionsfähig. Melissa ist sehr freundlich. Leider hat es in unserem Zimmer (classy im EG) sehr modrig gerochen. Der Geruch ist auch nach 3 Tagen nicht verflogen. Möglich dass dies in der Region normal ist bei Regen und der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit. Das Bad ist separat im Flur, was wir aber wussten und kein Problem war. Es ist nur etwas beengt. Jede Tür hat einen eigenen Pin was bei drei Türen schwierig war zu merken. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden und würden wiederkommen

I preferred a hotel with a front staff stationed and bathroom is attached to the room. I didn't expect the bathroom was separated and had to go out of the room and punched code every time to get in. It was not convenient.

1 night in the Big Easy

The property is very nice. Very clean. But I had a problem with the WiFi reaching my room. Signal was very weak. Everything else was fine.

Close to Downtown

Very clean, close to the rails to downtown, parking on the street (free). Maybe a "K" cup coffee in the future. WiFi was free and good in our room. A few of the close by food places were closed, but we had a rental car and traveled to the great food in New Orleans.

Great for the price , the place is very beautiful and more than feeling like a hotel it feels like you are staying in a traditional colonial house . It's also very easy to get around from there to other places in the city .

Clean and comfortable

Room was in excellent condition. Clean and cool (even during 95*F+ weather). Walking distance to street car stop. Food options are available close by but used a delivery service because I was by myself with no car and surrounding area after night did not seem to be the best place to be.

Close to everything but a little of the beaten path. A nice place to stay and convenient to get to almost anywhere in the New Orleans area. Not much of a walking area but you can grab a scooter and get to anywhere quickly. Great place to sit and relax in the main open area and the ability to use the kitchen if need be. Also has a great little restaurant at the corner of the street that is a must try.

Check was pretty evil didn’t care if I like that. I have this code to open every door. At one point now, and it took a day to with that being said I had to into all apps for streaming. Housekeeping, but there was some type of confusion.

Lovely place with a lovely, helpful housekeeper. Very comfortable and clean. Would stay here again. Walking distance to the quarter but outside of the craziness in a quiet area.
