Originally I was staying at another hotel. They were unable to accommodate my entire stay due to events. Being in a foreign country with high violence, one chooses a hotel with high security in a secure area. We booked a night at Terra Bella, on arrival we were told they were at capacity and could not accomidate us and were sending us to the hotel up the street Citlalli. The hotel receptionist was unable to give us the address. The hotel was not up the street and not so easy to navigate to. When we finally arrived to Citlalli the hotel staff were inviting and very attentive. Hotel was secure in an average area. The hotel was very clean and updated. We had a pleasant experience. Although not in most secure area, I felt more than secure and comfortable at Citlalli hotel than I did at hotels that ranked highest in secure area and security for El Salvador .Staff was more attentive and inviting than that of a 5 starr hotel upon entering.Very clean, no bugs. Beds are average in comfort. Breakfast delicious fresh and made to order. House keeping pressed my shirt when the service wasnt one that was provided. The dining area is a beautifully covered spanish meets modern day patio that opens to the backyard. To promote a serine environment chairs were provided for for relaxation where actual lawn exsists. Only thing missing a water feature and perhaps when the trees finish growing to cover the fence it will complete the feeling of entering an entirly different part of the world.
