I stayed here last night and was surprised at how beautiful the hotel is! After reading some reviews I was apprehensive but honestly couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay, beautiful rooms, comfy bed and the gentlemen who booked me in was so lovely and helpful. Can’t wait to come back

Perfect for London visit

Only stop over, but perfectly placed. Quiet, clean, friendly staff. Recommended for your London stay (avoid tube strikes!)

10/10 for service, room, location and cleanliness

Brilliant! Excellent, friendly service from booking in to booking out. Room was very nicely decorated and everything was spotless. Very close to Tube, restaurants and other facilities. 10/10 for the experience.

Quirky

Stayed for 1 night trip to attend a concert at Wembley stadium, excellent location close to transport links. Room very quirky but added to the trip made it abit different, Comfortable room, helpful staff, stored luggage for us before check in. Ideal for the purpose of our 1 night trip and reasonably priced for location. Would stay again if attending concerts/ football matches again.

Quirky hotel

Quirky hotel, lovely room a bit dark but suited us for one night. Shower a bit small to get into. Close to the tube and shops. Better than a chain hotel. Would of been nice to have breakfast

Very unique Bohemian style hotel - usually stay in a bland corporate type - it certainly isn’t one of these - it definitely has a style which I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed When asked I never normally have much to say on the hotel but I do on The Pavilion and will happily recommend it

When we arrived they told us that the fire alarm got off so we had to use their sister location... I think that was just them overbooking the building and trying to cover it.. Luckilly once we were able to get to the room that we were supposed to be in, we were really satisfied with everything.

You get what you pay for

The room i stayed was downstairs. The only window lead to an small alley, bed was flimsy, when i layed on ot the middle sunk in. But the worst part was the smell of old dingy that i could not get used to. Front desk was nice.

The room was tiny and freezing. Only had a sheet and thin blanket. Room was cluttered and just didn’t feel very clean

On arrival you are directed to another property 3 doors down. There are only 3 rooms and decorated poorly, not as advertised. Staff were friendly but you are definitely not getting what you paid for, a little false advertising I think!! They explained that there were "fire safety issues at the other hotel ...but looking at the reviews this is one of many excuses.

Good: Affordable, convenient location near Paddington, unique furnishing and style of the entire property (much better than soulless hotels), the person at reception was effusive and personable in an authentic way, comfortable bed, dark room Not good: Cramped room, shower had no shower curtain or even shower head holder (tip: in Up Up and Away you can shove the shower head in the towel rack to rest it while using it), toilet itself was a little loosely placed in the ground (??), kettle provided for hot water needed cleaning, one of the bedside lights was out. Lots of small things needing cleaning or maintenance. Overall, great cheap place to spend a night before you need to go somewhere else, or if you will only use the room for a shower and sleep and little else. I’d stay here again alone, but not with a partner.

2/10 Poor

Check in was awful. Staff attitude was terrible. Was told to rebook on another website while stood at the check in desk, as they said their card machine wasnt working. Was told 'things happen, people die' when i questioned why it didnt work and they wanted cash in central london. Room was in another hotel to the one booked. Mould on the ceiling in the shower, limescale on the shower head. Hotel we were in was a cheaper rate than the one we booked. 2 single beds pushed together. Window fastenings were broken. Felt like they were trying to pull a dodgy deal with demanding cash.

Bohemian delight but let down by awful beds.

A truly bohemian hotel, stuffed full of art. The place is in need of a few upgrades like new stair carpets but it is all part of the character. My biggest issue is the beds. The mattresses (2 singles pushed together) were awful. There was no support and you could feel the springs as you lay. These need to be binned and replaced immediately. We hardly got any sleep as they are so uncomfortable. We had the Green With Envy room and you certainly wouldn’t feel that way about the en-suite. The sink was at 90 degrees to the toilet and you almost had to sit sideways on the loo. The shower cubicle is so small a person over 5’8” will need to duck to get their head wet. The shower itself was useless. You would get wetter holding a spray bottle on the mist setting, and even at full hot the water was only tepid. To the hotel owner. Please do something about this room. The Pavilion is a gem of uniqueness in a city full of generic hotels, but the basics of the beds and shower are frankly unacceptable at £140 a night.

Careful.

I had booked the hotel yet there was a note on the door to go next door to sign in. That hotel “ the four stars” only took cash and the put me in a basement minimalist room. Nothing than the image of the Pavilon hotel I booked. I really don’t know what happened but I left disgusted and disappointed. They did not offer refunds or explain why I was not put in the room that I booked. Seemed like a scam.
Room I ended up with.
Room I booked on line.

Small and simple but cozy

The room we got was called ”Enter the dragon”. It was very small but the interior made it warm and cozy. It’s not a high standard hotel but the interior added some mystique. Felt like being in a Harry Potter setting.

Old or boutiqe

There was a very strange smell when 1st entering room stains on covers and curtains The bed was hard on one side and wooden frame was higher than matress The gentalman on reception was lovely and vert helpful. Location is amazing for hyde park

Lovely quirky place

Stayed here to attende a show. Good location, not far from tube line. Lovely quirky rooms. Check in was lengthy as no one in reception or answering phones. Worried about security with keys left unattended. Was hurried out of the room as soon as checkout time was being reached. Would stay again.
Garry, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was ok, a bed for the night. Hot water was scolding hot, no milk for your tea or coffee, the mattress was just like one from a fold up bed your grandma used to have in the 80's. It was t-shirt weather so it was still warm enough at night. The hotel looked traditional to its era, then you went into your room and it had Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen from changing rooms written all over it!!

Another fantastic break at The Pavilion. This quirky hotel is in a great location for tubes/buses and you cannot fault the cleanliness or ambience of this little gem of a hotel.
