The James Bond Hidden Cottage By Wake Forest University & Downtown

This cottage couldn’t be better, very well equipped, clean, and cozy. Cara was very helpful, and it was completely hassle-free and easy for check-in and out. Highly recommend.

Close to the University and other areas to explore. The home was perfect for a family of 4!

This cottage is lovely. Kitchen was complete with everything you need for a multi-day stay. Master bedroom was large with plenty of space in the closet for all of our clothes. Master bath has a great soaking tub and marble shower. 2nd bed/bath was just perfect for our son. There's lots of room to lounge around in the family room. We made this trip because our son was moving to WS. Cara was incredibly helpful. She not only provided restaurant recommendations but did research on an apartment. We've already booked our return trip in November.

We were greeted by Cara and Parker the Collie in the middle of a snowstorm. Cara walked us through, showed us everything we’d need and left. She checked in by msg To make sure we were doing ok mid-stay. Very kind, pleasant, and friendly. And so was Parker:) She was even so thoughtful as to leave an anniversary card, bottle of wine, and hit chocolate. Everything was so comfortable for a snowed in weekend. Fluffy and comfortable bed, snuggly blankets and a great soaking tub and walk-in shower. And since we knew we’d not be leaving, we brought food to cook; and I’ve NEVER seen a rental with such a well stocked kitchen. Anything you’d like to cook or bake, she had the utensils and pots and dishes. Cara and Dan also provided coffee, creamer, sugar, seltzer, soda, etc. This place is a hidden gem! Can’t wait to stay again.

Our stay for the month of Feb. at the James Bond cottage could not have been better. Cara is the perfect host and certainly cared for us as if we were family. The cottage is in a perfect location, within easy drive of downtown, restaurants, museums and shopping. Comfort is the word for the living space including beds. Kitchen is well stocked. Overall 5 stars!

My sister and I had an unplanned visit to see our parents in Winston-Salem. The two bedroom, two bath arrangement at the JB Hidden Cottage was perfect for us. (Last year, we had to share a hotel room - awkward!). Cara and Dan have a charming, fun property. They put a lot of love and creativity into the cottage, and it was convenient to everywhere we needed to go. I'll certainly consider this property again, as well as the other properties that they own. Cheers!

We had a great visit!! The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Even a working fireplace. Cara could not have been more accommodating!!!

Highly recommend!!! lol If you are holistic minded, have sensitivities to fragrances and toxic cleaning products as I do then this is your place! I have a severe cat allergy and only slightly lesser dog allergy and usually stay away from places that allow animals but the property is spotless and had no real issue. The hosts are warm and friendly and most accommodating and paid attention to every detail! This is the absolute BEST property on Home Away, not another that comes close! This was our first visit to the Winston-Salem area but it won't be our last. The James Bond Cottage was such an inviting and relaxing place to stay. It has such a woodsy setting yet it is close to the downtown amenities. Cara was an excellent host and met us personally at our arrival in order to make us feel at home. We loved every minute of our stay. We would highly recommend the James Bond Cottage to anyone traveling to the Winston-Salem area! David & Amy D.
