The whole staff was amazing from the first contact at the front desk to the last bellman. Every door is opened for you - and smiles everywhere

Pros: High-quality sheets, comforters and pillows. Modern, sleek design. Good breakfast at Villon. Cons: Smallest hotel room I have EVER been in. Two bunk beds, built into the wall. Even with that, only enough floor space for one small chair and a tiny table. Sink was in the main room. Very small bathroom with OK size shower behind a sliding barn door. That was it. rooms are not soundproof as advertised Dash heard noise from the hallway all night long, and our door rattled when other doors shut in the hallway. Also smelled pot smoke constantly throughout the evening. Grout in the shower was dirty and needed cleaning. Located in a rather sketchy area along market street. The CVS across the way closed at 8 PM, and there was literally no place to get water after that time. I asked for additional bottles at the front desk, and the staff made kind of a big deal about it. They were only 12 oz bottles. Mattress was too firm for my liking – I tossed and turned all night. No view from the room except onto a dingy, small inner courtyard. Biggest con was the price - at $379/night, i’m not sure who this place thinks it is. The stay was definitely not worth that amount.

Beautiful hotel , with very Luxiurious amenities , but the bunk beds room was a little too tiny to stay more than one night .

I have never stayed at a better hotel in my life. Truly exceptional all around. I was greeted with smiles and Prosecco (or water if you prefer) The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. my room was beautiful and cozy. I am a snob for great bedding and products and they exceeded expectations. My room was very quiet. The roof bar was lovely. Amazing bartenders and atmosphere. I had breakfast at Villon downstairs and loved the service and the food. One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. I will only stay at the Proper hotel from now on.

The hotel itself is beautiful! The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel so welcome and important! The rooftop bar was amazing!
