Great hotel, horrible shower
The Cambria is in a fantastic location in the West Loop of Chicago. The staff could not have been any nicer. Every single person I interacted with was really friendly and helpful. My only criticism, is the shower. The water never gets even remotely hot, or even very warm. And there’s virtually no water pressure. The sinks in the restrooms at O’Hare had hotter water than the shower.
The water also automatically cuts off, which wouldn’t be a problem if I had known it was going to happen. I managed to tolerate the barely tepid showers for the two days I was there, but I would really struggle if I was staying longer. I’ve had better showers well camping. I support eco-friendly measures, but in this case, I think the trade-off is a problem.
