Fisherman's Village

We got our wish most enjoyable stay

I had picked the Fisherman's village because of it's location, not too far from the airport and away from the city lights and the comfort shown. I was sooo glad I did. We stayed 2 nights around mid December 2019 and it was to be at the end of a 11 night self drive trip in Iceland. The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. The surroundings great and we got what we were really hoping for - a fantastic display of the Northern Lights. WOW

Just a short drive to downtown Reykjavik

Wonderful 2 night stay. The owner was kind enough to prepare the hot tub for us so we were able to enjoy a soak under the stars. Our beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and fresh. The property is undergoing some upgrades to the outdoor parking area and will be even nicer when complete. No need to run around searching for the Northern lights as they were visible right there by 9:30 pm(early Oct.)

Great Experience, nice location

Fantastic location, beautiful surroundings. Only 15 minutes from the center of Reykjavik. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend strongly.

Such a unique place to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Only 15 mins from Reykjavík, we enjoyed the drive back in the evenings. Very quiet, clean, comfortable right on the ocean

Check in is at a different location which was a bit of a hassle. Staff at check in was fairly "indifferent".

The WiFi was down in our room The property did all they could to address the issue expeditiously and gave us a complementary dinner at the Viking Restaurant for our troubles — thank you!

Quiet and comfortable.

Comfortable stay away from the city. Quiet and just beside the sea. If you are lucky you can catch the lights!

We booked a superior room as a home base for day trips during our 8 night stay. It's a perfect location for touring the South Coast, the Golden Circle and Reykjavik as well as horseback riding, visiting the Blue Lagoon, and whale watching. The room itself was very clean and equipped with a comfy bed, safe, heated towel rack, refrigerator, hair drier, electric kettle (with packets of coffee, sugar and creamer) and a tv with english language channels. There is also a nice sitting area. The property itself is stunning and well kept with a nautical theme. We did not meet the owner but it's clear that there is a lot of care and love in the upkeep and details of this beautiful property. I can't emphasize enough the absolute peace of being right along the water and enjoying the sunsets and sunrises and the waves lapping against the shore. It's a wonderful place to come back to and enjoy the quiet after long days of hiking and site seeing with all the crowds. Also the housekeeping was wonderful.
