Fine budget option, but don't expect niceties
Leelawadee is a barebones getaway. The bathroom is tiny and you shower over the toilet, the bed is hard, but softer than many in Southeast Asia budget hotels. There was a fan in my room, but it didn't oscillate -- luckily I didn't even need that. Some rooms have an aircon, but it's likely unnecessary. The reception's posted hours are 2-6pm, which is a bit of a pain. You can arrive late and just suffer the ire of the owner. I arrived on time and also suffered her consternation--she doesn't love it if you book online, and she'll have no record, so make sure to bring the confirmation number or have it saved on the app. Room was fine, but I ended up moving to a nearby hotel after one night--walls are thin and I kept getting woken up by neighbors talking in the early or late hours.
