Our stay at this hotel was disappointing, to say the least. We ended up here due to a flight cancellation, but several issues made our experience far from satisfactory.
Firstly, our room had an unpleasant odour, reminiscent of cigarette smoke, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the shower room smelled very bad and was extremely basic, lacking the amenities we would expect from a hotel of this calibre.
The most disappointing part of our stay was the lack of customer care. We were staying at the hotel on the eve of my wife’s birthday, which had already been disrupted by the flight cancellation. I reached out multiple times via email, phone, and in person to see if the hotel could assist with organising a small birthday cake to make the day special despite the circumstances. Not only did they show no interest in helping, but I also received no response to my emails.
Furthermore, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. While there were a lot of options available, most items were pre-made, including the pancakes and crepes, which were not fresh. Even when I approached the chef to make an omelette, I was offered a pre-made one and told to take a cold omelette instead. It would be better to have fewer options but ensure that everything is freshly prepared. The quality and freshness of the food should be a priority, and the lack of care in this area was evident.
