Casa de Tortuga

This place was charming. It slept all 5 of us comfotably. Only one block from the water and restaurants/shopping. But what really stood out was the service. We missed our original ferry. We didnt have time to make it to check-in and our Bio Bay tour. We called and they bent over backwards for us to get us to our tour in time and they did it happily and friendly. They made it happen for us. I dont remember their names but Thank you ❤. I want to ome back and bring my husband. This is where I will stay.

Best Place I’ve Ever Stayed

I was expecting a basic two double bed room, this was not the case - the room was a full suite with kitchen fully stocked with dish ware/cookware. It was very clean and very well maintained, the owners of the property have put a tremendous amount of heart and work into the whole facility. The pool was very clean with relaxing covered seating around it as well as an area with a grill and byob bar to one side. It was also very quiet and relaxing, a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and entertainment.

Beautifly

The first thing Skip told us was that it was a great thing that we could not rent a car on the island! And he was so right! He said if we didn't like the beach a half block down the road just keep going to the left, and if we didn't like that one, the next would probably be even more wonderful! We had planned only to spend the night for the Bioluminescent Tour, in the end we took a later ferry so we could see the beauty around us. All of the beaches were amazing! Please note that the island does have a population of both wild horses and chickens.

Nice cozy room

The host is welcome and the room is clean, large and the bed is comfortable. The only concern is that several roosters may wake up your dream early in the morning

A family run property that is unique and a great stay. Skip (owner) was great and very helpful with suggestions and travel suggestions for when we checked out. Would definitely stay again!

Studio in Vieques

The apartment was located conveniently near the beach and restaurants. The studio apartment was dark, not well lit. It was also not supplied adequately. There was no soap in the hand soap dispenser. The lotion dispenser was missing a part so lotion could not be dispensed. The salt and pepper shakers were empty. Coffee and creamer were provided but no sugar. There was no sponge to wash the dishes.

The owner/manager of the property was really rude and scary. The property was not maintained at all. There were things just lying around in the open area, looked like there was a hurricane and no one cleaned up after it. Coming to the room, the bed was ok but bathroom was in poor condition. We couldn’t sleep all night because of the chickens that kept making sounds outside. Overall, this experience was a nightmare. The only reason we still spent a night in this property was because Vieques is a very remote place and it is almost impossible to find a place to stay last minute, when you don’t even have a car to your self. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at this place.
