Way overpriced for quality of accommodations
I was so disappointed in the room at this hotel. The grounds and exterior of the hotel are kept up well and the housekeeping staff does a great job as our room was very clean. The condition of the room, however, was a huge letdown!
When we arrived we circled the building twice looking for the check-in office. Eventually we tracked down one of the housekeeping staff and she explained that you check in at the sister motel across the street. They need to at least post a sign so you don’t leave all your guests circling the property clueless and frustrated.
The office for check-in at Seaside (across the street) is awkwardly small. The staff have to keep asking you to step out of their way in order to move around their office space. That said the gentleman that checked us in was great.
We headed back across the street, and moved into our room. We were so disappointed! The couch had holes and stains on it, one of the legs of the coffee table was broken, the knob for the faucet on the bathroom sink came off in my hand, the under-cabinet lighting covers were all broken and hanging down, the shower head wasn’t secured properly to the wall, the lampshade was stained. It just appeared that little to no care was put into this room or the experience a guest would have staying there.
I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for a room on AMI since this was quite expensive for low-quality accomodations.
