Our hostess Kristi was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts each morning were very nice. We were amazed how quiet our room was even though we were so close to many music clubs, restaurants, etc. We felt safe and took advantage of the streetcar which is walking distance.

Very Welcoming

Joe and Kristi are excellent hosts. They offer details that make you feel at home and are very accommodating. The home is a few blocks from the local restaurants, etc. If you don't want stairs, be sure to request one of the rooms on the main level. Parking can be challenging but we managed ok.

Great B&B

This is a great B&B in an old home built in the late 1800s. The host was fabulous and our room was comfortable. The location was great for walking to the music scene without being right in the middle of the action, which was perfect for us. It was nice and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay! Our host was absolutely fabulous, served a lovely breakfast every morning and had great recommendations on things to see and do. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to New Orleans. The house is amazing and old so be aware, there are some steep stairs up to some of the rooms.

Great hotel on Frenchman Street

Fantastic place located a few blocks from the center of the French Quarter allows for easy access. Frenchman Street itself is full of great clubs and restaurants literally within less than a minutes walk from the R & B.

The proprietor, Rita, is super helpful w/ timely information about the city, and offers great tips on how best to get around (streetcar, walking etc.). Free drink tickets to a few nearby bars also super nice! The breakfast was great and always available in case you have late night munchies, too! And the beds super comfortable - fabulous sheets.

Great Location, Great Place, Great Experience

This is a great place to stay. Not far from Bourbon street but more importantly, you don't even have to leave Frenchman street for good music, good food and good drinks! The house was beautiful. Rita was awesome and informative. I would highly recommend the place to anyone and I will definitely be staying with Rita when o go back to New Orleans!!

Charming B&B in a fabulous location

We had a fabulous time at R&B Bed & Breakfast. The location was perfect - just 100 steps away from the famous Spotted Cat Music Club (and many others) along the famed Frenchmen street and a mere 15 minutes walk to historic Jackson Square. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and quiet - perfect for a restful vacation. The warm & charming innkeeper Rita was very helpful with providing expert advise on the sites to visit and the places to eat. Highly recommended and would most definitely return.

Great place close to French Quarter

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and I must say I was well impressed. The owner Rita is a very kind and helpful lady. She also leaves food out for the whole day which is a plus because you can grab something to eat anytime you feel hungry. This place is on Frenchman Street where there are lots of bars with lovely music. It's also a short walk to French quarter and Bourbon street. It's just at a great location

The Best!

Oh my god, stay here if you can! Karen is the best innkeeper ever. She went above and beyond. I would come back just to stay with her. My husband and I enjoyed it here so much! We tried too book for early May, but they are booked. 10 out of 10!

As comfortable as home.

The facility is a beautifully restored home with beautiful antiques but modern amenities. The bathrooms are wonderful. There are lots of little homey touches, tissue boxes by the bedside, lots of outlets, a black makeup towel in the bathroom, a television has lots of channels, great smelling toiletries in the bathroom. There are lots of snacks and breakfast foods available 24/7. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with a park across the street, but within walking distance of all the activity.

best place to stay in New Orleans

This is the most wonderful place to stay. It is beautiful, comfortable, convenient and te list goes on. In my opinion the only place to stay in New Orleans. We did not move our car until time to come home. Convenient to walk or take a trolly. Rita is a wonderful hostess and provides very helpful information on places to go, tours Nd safety. Have already booked the same room for Mardi grad 2017. Love it.

Lovely B&B Next to French Quarter

The B&B is on a quiet street about 2 blocks from the French Quarter so it's easy to get walk there and there is plenty of street parking right around the B&B (some free, some metered). There are 3 rooms upstairs and 2 on the main level, each has its own bath. I stayed on the main level and the ceilings were probably 15' high. Breakfast is "continental". Lots of choices of cereal, fruit, yogurt, granola bars, etc., and danishes or fritters delivered each morning. The food is accessible all the time so helpful if you need a cup of coffee or snack mid-afternoon.

All the reviews are true, this place is amazing!!

My partner and I recently stayed at the R&B Bed and Breakfast for a week while eloping in New Orleans. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here, and we would never want to stay anywhere else on our return visits. The house is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Rita the owner/host has put an incredible amount of love into every last detail, and puts that same amount of passion into making sure all of her guests are beyond happy with their stay. Our bedroom and bathroom were both large, clean and looked impeccable. The bed itself is the most comfortable thing I've ever slept in, and the double headed shower was a real treat as well. You couldn't ask for a better location either, as Frenchmen St is the place to be when it comes to live music and good food in New Orleans. It's also just a short walk to Bourbon St and the French Quarter as well as many other interesting areas, and there's also plenty of public transport close by if you wish to venture further out. This place is amazing, do yourself a favour and book now!

Nothing but Perfection!

R&B Bed and Breakfast is by far the the hidden gem of New Orleans! Rita is by far the most gracious kindest hostess my husband and I have met. Considering we vacation about 6 - 7 times a year, the service Rita gave us was the best I've ever experienced. From Rita teaching us the best way to eat a beignet at Cafe Du Monde so you don't get powdered sugar all over you, calling certain restaurants to see if they are open on a Sunday, and the location of R&B is exactly where you need to be. All the best jazz bars are very close by (walking distance of course), yet far enough to not keep you awake at night. If you're into the whole Bourbon Street experience, that's also within walking distance too! The beds were more comfortable than some high end hotels (which is a HUGE plus for me). Rita helped me fall in love with the city, not that it's hard to do, but still! Every little bit of local experience helps! This will definitely be my only go-to spot when we visit New Orleans. Thank you Rita for such an amazing experience!

Beauty on the edge of the French Quarter

This B&B was perfect. When we first pulled up, we were worried because it was not in the "heart of things" and weren't sure what to think of the small building front. Wow were we surprised! When you walk in, you are greeted by a massive antiqued living area and dining room to the left and a long corridor. It was so beautiful. Rita was there to "check us in" and give us a few insider tips (back to that later). Each room has been crafted with love by Rita and her family...no stone was left unturned. We truly felt at home, so much that it felt really weird actually closing and locking your bedroom door when you left the house. Rita is wonderful. She gives you the house rules in 5 minutes, which basically include "help yourself and lock the front door when you leave". She listens to what you would like to do while in the city and then offers tips on when best to them and what to stay away from. It's so helpful. She's also excited to hear all about your exploring day and what you thought so she can pass it on to the next person. The property was just on the end of the French quarter and was in a perfectly fine location to everything you would want to do in NOLA.
