Check in was good and while the furniture in the lobby and eating area was old and worn out, the room was absolutely shocking. We booked a room with two beds and a pull out couch, there are two adults and 4 kids. The couch was broken, and not just a little. Parts of it were just laying on the floor, metal pieces of the pull out bed were broken off and bent. We weren’t even able to use the pull out bed from the couch. Also it was clear that at some point there was a party in that room as there were streamers, busted balloons and decorations under the couch. One of the queen beds was also broken and slanted, so some of the frame was just resting on the floor as well. They did get us 2 roll away twin beds since two of my kids were supposed to sleep on the pull out couch but weren’t able to. They were nice about the complaints but they all made it clear they knew the room had broken furniture. We had non refundable reservations there and there was not other rooms available so we did stay but it was not comfortable. There were bugs and layers of dirt along the wall on the bathroom floor.
We are usually go with the flow and we understand the risks with hotel rooms but this felt absolutely ghetto trashy. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and this was by far the worst. Also staff were discussing that they weren’t getting paid by the company for work they did and were upset. Alot to deal with when we paid $200/night for 2 nights. What a shame!
