Very historic building nestled in Brookline. Building is warm. But luckily the room we were in had sufficient AC. The tv was broken my biggest complaint. But very homey would stay again

Only good things to report. Excellent customer service. Good location. Love the feel of the brownstone.

Beacon 1750 is a "you get what you pay for" boutique hotel. Even modest hotels near the city center cost at least $300/night, so for $200/night this property met my expectations. First, it's about 2 miles (15 minutes on the trolley) west of the metro/tourist zone in a residential neighborhood. Second, it's rough around the edges but functional. The negatives: the bathroom was tiny, the towels thin, there were no outlets near the beds and the room was clean enough but not immaculate. The positives: the hotel feels very safe, the beds were comfortable and it was very easy transporting to and from "the city".

We went to a concert at Agganis Arena and decided at the last minute we didn’t want to drive back to southern Maine after. We found 1750 Beacon Inn on Expedia at a great rate. Got a room with our own bathroom and a king bed. Definitely worth staying here if you don’t want to spend $300 on a hotel room. It was quiet, clean, and the room we got was big. Nice snacks and breakfast offered too.

In desperate need of a glow up

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a dusty old doll house? Here's your chance. Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 is a conundrum. The location is great, right on the T, Green Line, with easy access to the medical district, Fenway, and nice restaurants/cafés within walking distance. The price is a good value for Brookline. The front desk attendant was friendly. The problem is this old girl has seen better days. Check in is mashed up with the 'breakfast' service area, just inside the front door. The rooms are in rough shape, and the bathroom was in bad shape. The brand new television hung on the wall didn't work. No night tables by the bed and only two outlets in the room. The window air conditioner was taped into the window. Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 needs a glow up in the worst way but has a few good attributes most specifically location and walkability.

A Room for the Occasion

The room was just what we needed: good beds, clean bathroom, good price, good access to public transit.

It was just average nothing out of this world but comfortable enough to justify the price, neighborhood had restaurants in walking distance and seeemed nice
Jaime, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I liked the non-corporate feel and old building charm.
Stephanie, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The hotel is fairly cheap, and unfortunately the quality of the room aligns with the price. The large bed was put up against an old fireplace in the room with no backboard, so above your head is a dusty cave all night. The outlets were all loose, making it less convenient to charge my devices. A little bit of effort would go a long way here. The room I had was right behind reception and only had a small doorknob lock, I didn't feel very safe without a deadbolt or other stopper. In addition, my location was very noisy as guests checked in the rest of the day (I could hear each one)

Location is excellent. Parking is a bit cumbersome. Nice friendly inn, close to Boston College.

Best place to stay in Brookline!

The Beacon Inn is a great place to stay every time I venture back to Boston/Brookline. I love the location right on Beacon St. and I always get the best night's sleep every time I stay! Top marks!

Great place to stay but they need to let you know that there is no elevator. I'm to old to climb 3 floors every time I come and go.

Wonderfully friendly, courteous, and very helpful. A delight! Plenty of restaurants as well.

Low cost inn, basic provisions. Quiet and private rooms, with own bathroom. In a historic house with winding staircase to each floor level. Parking is availble for charge, for mid or small size vehicle. Spots are in front of each other, so may need to move car for other guests. Self serve style check in/out.

Very quaint. Great price for being in town. Very close to everything. I would have given it 5 rating except the morning breakfast was late and consisted of a few croissants and a muffin.
