A lovely hotel in an ideal location for visiting the Lake District. Within walking distance of several walks and Derwent Water jetty from where you can catch the ferry to points around the lake and to Keswick. Sofia and the staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was good, with plenty of selection. The restaurant also had good food.

We had a fantastic room. Worth the extra for superior double. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Lovely bar and dinner menu with lots of seating inside and out. Great views of the lake. Lots of parking for guests and good walking path straight out of the hotel.

Lovely staff, very friendly. Good room, comfy and clean. Breakfast quite good. There was an EV charger which we wanted to use however there was no sign so non EV cars blocked the space. A clear sign would be good! Lovely setting with great views . Bus stops every half hour a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the Mary Mount. Our room was lovely, well furnished and clean. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was the first time we had used the Keswick launch which we boarded just a minutes walk from the hotel. We used this all day and didn't have to drive the car anywhere. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Quite a small room which didnt bother us and the view was to die for. It was a very hot weekend whichade the room stifling through the night even with the windows open. A small fan would resolve this on the odd occasion we get nice weather. The location, food and views were amazing and the staff chatty and helpful. We will definitely revisit

Great Hotel with Private Free Parking near to lovely walks and close to Keswick town. Breakfast Great choice and Evening meal lovely too. Stayed in the Lodge which was Private house with two bedrooms, huge lounge with three settees. Huge shower with products. Coffee/tea in each bedroom and in the hall. Small fridge in lounge. Great for friends to join you.

The Mary Mount is a lovely hotel that is in the PERFECT spot - the lower end of Derwentwater and right at one of the ferry stops! The scenery is remarkable! The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I would have is the room we stayed in had an uncomfortable bed and was a bit noisy in the evening when people were having a late dinner or drinks. The walls dont keep the noise out. Other than that I loved the stay and would stay again but probably get a different room, requesting one far from the the kitchen dining area.

I have been staying here for decades mainly because of its location. It is a truly beautiful property but unfortunately it is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Paint off the walls , worn carpets and generally in need of some TLC. On the positive side at least the people are still really accommodating , professional and friendly. Hopefully the property itself will get an update.

Fint hotel tæt ved Keswick i Lake District. Lækker morgenmad med stort udvalg og hjælpsomt personale. Sengen dog meget blød og kort så jeg måtte ligge diagonalt for ikke at have benene ud over kanten (178 cm).

Great location on the Lake, pity due to low levels the ferry from keswick wasn't stopping at the dock as it is right at the bottom of hotel garden. We stayed in room 17 (dog friendly), great view from window room clean, bit dated, this room has external bathroom which is opposite room door and was only for use of our room which was fine. Breakfast fantastic, huge choice of hot & cold food. Evening menu not the best choices and food was just okay. All staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend visiting the surprise view which is right above the hotel and has a great view of derwentwater.

I only stayed for one night and therefore didn't have time to explore the surroundings fully. However, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had everyyhing and more you could expect . The location is excellent and I would certainly consider using it as a base for any furture planned visits in and around the Keswick area.

Stayed in the Woodland Annexe Deluxe Double Room with Hill View (Room 40) with a bonus sun terrace and loungers. Sofia the Receptionist was very excited to show us to our room - I had no idea the room came with the sun terrace which was great for sitting out on each day after long walks looking at the Lake view. Amazing spacious room and ensuite. Free toiletries. Bed was very comfortable and slept soundly, loved the pillow (might buy one for myself). Whole property was very peaceful and quiet. A few minutes walk down to the Jetty (sadly closed to low water levels) where we could have got the Derwentwater Launch from. Across the road for the woodland/lakeside walk (1 hour) into Keswick or across the field towards Lowdor Hotel and Spa to do the walk that way via Portinscale. Whole walk about 8 miles. Hotel had good parking, helpful and friendly staff. Meals were good, if a little expensive, service was slow one day but very prompt the next. Breakfast was amazing - so much choice and cooked breakfast items were self-service and replenished quickly. Other items not always available, only 1 choice of danish on last day and just mini croissants each day. Had to ask for a teaspoon for the yoghurt. Overall had an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

The room was unbearably hot throughout the stay and particularly on arrival. While it was hot (27ish degrees) this is not extreme heat and increasingly common yet the hotel offers no aircon. Although fans are available on request there were not left when I enquired and I was only eventually given one when I said I'd be unable to stay in the room. Although the hotel can't control the weather, they could do more to control the internal environment (e.g. reflective coatings on windows if not aircon) - based on my experience I definitely would not recommend anyone considering a stay during the summer months. The absence of any form of chair in the room didn't help with the overall very uncomfortable couple of nights I endured there. Walls in the room were dirty (scuffed and marked, not unclean - I think) and curtains etc had seen better days though the bathroom appeared more modern. Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent, but with shortages of some food items both days I stayed. Overall, certainly not worth the standard room rate.

This was an ideal hotel experience in the Lake District. The rooms were clean and maintained well without losing their charm. The grounds were well-maintained and the paths to the surrounding areas were amazing to help us explore. 10/10 would come back again!

Stayed with my dog as a female solo traveller, hotel is brilliant for dogs, the staff are lovely and the food great. I was worried travelling on my own, many places say dog friendly and they aren’t. We had room 15 which had french doors onto a grass area, perfect for the dog. We walked down to the jetty for a paddle which she loved. We walked around the lake clockwise to Keswick and got the boat back, stopped a few times to swim. As a solo traveller I wasn’t hassled, didn’t feel uncomfortable or awkward, really relaxed and lovely place. I couldn’t recommend it enough and will be booking it again.

Location is fantastic on the lakeside with beautiful views, Food was also lovely however the hotel rooms are small and stuffy and in need of modernisation. Not enough staff when the hotel is busy.
