Lozenge Hotel

Wonderful breakfast in the morning. Very helpful front desk. Perfect location to be in walking distance of all the major sites without the noise.

Nice modern boutique hotel in the center of Athens. Very friendly and responsive staff. Room 304 is an L-shaped room where you are immediately greeted by a queen size bed with a long hallway to the left leading to a desk and a large marble-clad bathroom. The bathroom had a very squeaky glass door which couldn't be fixed even with oil. The air conditioning vent is placed right over the bed which means that you freeze while in bed if you leave the AC. For that reason alone I wouldn't recommend staying in this room.

EXCELLENT location. The entire staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were a bit too soft so I, personally, woke up with a back ache but that's all personal preferences. The only really bad thing about it was that the drapes didn't properly block out the light @ the sides and I had to use band aids to stick them to the walls to try to close up the "seam". This all wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the poorly designed front of the hotel. ALL the lights on the front go on and there's NO WAY to turn them off on your balcony. It's all controlled by the hotel so....no sleep for me. They did offer to turn them off after a certain time and they did but only one day. Another thing that I think they should have at the hotel is recycling and promote more of an eco-friendly/aware mentality. Considering this past July we had already gone through a year's worth of natural resources (at month 7!) it would be a great benefit to the hotel, country, world. I've stayed at 5 star hotels where they leave you a little card saying if you want to conserve energy and natural resources to let them know not to change the sheets and towels daily. I'd give the hotel 10 stars if they were like that. Otherwise, as I stated above it's got a great location and staff.

Hotel is conveniently located in the business district just blocks from the Syntagma metro station and a short walk to Ermou and Plaka. A minor issue was handled wonderfully by the staff and everyone was super-helpful. We would definitely return.

We chose the Lozenge Hotel for a one night stay in Athens before flying home and it served us just fine. We arrived late in the evening and left in the morning, so we did not get to enjoy much of the surrounding area, the included breakfast or other amenities - but it served our needs just fine. It is a smaller hotel and the room we had was not very large, but it was clean and comfortable. We did walk to find a very late dinner, and noticed the surrounding area was very nice with a lot of higher end shops and security through the night. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for an affordable higher-end hotel in the nicest area of Athens.

I can't say enough nice things about the Lozenge. It's a very comfortable hotel. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious. It's in a fantastic location to see Athens.
