At check in I was charged a dollar more than Hotels.com said. Just a dollar but it’s the principle. I went to front desk and the man said he would take a dollar off my next stay. Not helpful as I won’t stay there again. We had to turn the heater up to 78 and it was still too cold for my husband. The room had a terrible urine smell. We stay in Dodge City a lot but have never used this hotel before. Not sure if bathtub was stained or just dirty. We didn’t use it.

The room itself was clean and adequate for a one night stay. Older building so be prepared for cinder block walls. No wifi that i was told of. No breakfast. Lots of road noise, noise from upstairs and neighbors. Didnt get good rest. Not close to any restaurants or attractions.

The property was old but in good condition. You could tell the owner has great pride in his motel! Clean & quiet. The bed was perfect for 2 weary travelers & a good night's sleep. The front desk staff was very kind & accommodating as well!!

Not so good, surprised about the ratings. The linen was stained and had hair on them. Dirty floors. Dirty shower and tub. Hair everywhere. TV remote did not work so no TV. Hotel would not take cash or keep the payment on the card it was booked on. I put my daughter up here and was pretty embarrassed about what i booked for her. I would recommend pulling it from your list of hotels.

Gunsmoke tour in Dodge
Just a basic, no frills room. No view, but, decent enough for a stay while you tour Dodge City. Staff is friendly, area is clean. Great cafe (Miss Kitty's) sitting across the parking lot. Only issue we had was a couple next door decided to have a full throated argument on the first night there. After a few minutes of that, it was fine the rest of our stay.

A comfortable stay. It appears that they're upgrading the facility-nice bed, but worn furniture. Nicely painted and decorated but the tub was stained. New toilet. I found it comfortable. And having Miss Kittie's in the parking lot for a REALLY big breakfast is a nice addition. You've gotta drive a mile back into town for a decent coffee, though. And the area outside smells of petrochemicals quite strongly, not indoors though. SUPER convenient if you're on 56 and headed through town. I'd stay there again!

I opted to stay here because of the price and relatively high rating. I'm a bit shocked at how highly this place is rated. It is definitely sub 2-star accommodations. For the price, it's definitely ok, especially if you're here as a single man on work or something. But not a good place for a family stay or if you're looking to be comfortable. Treat this place as just a place to sleep. Thankfully, I was called by the desk to "confirm my reservation" and my room wasn't given away. However, at checkin another guest with a reservation was lied to and told "they didn't have their reservation" but when the guest pulled out proof on their phone eventually the staff "found the reservation" but said "tough luck I have no room for you". That guest was fed up enough to not fight with the owner about finding him another room elsewhere etc, but this was a dirty way to handle over-booking. Most of the linens were stained. They seemed clean / washed, but stained on both of the beds. There were other really minor things not functioning properly, like the drain plug was stuck down (I was able to fix it but had to mess with it from underneath, just not what you expect from a "clean" room you check into).
