Love to stay here. It’s a very peaceful stay with everything you need. Close to town and hiking trails. Oak steak house is a wonderful restaurant on the property.

We like staying at the SKyline Lodge - it is in a quiet location with great views of the mountains and trees. One highlight is the Oaks Restaurant, which (in our opinion) is one of the best in the area. Another is that they are pet friendly and everyone remembers and greets our bird, Scarlett.

Beautiful location. Lovely job of refurbishing historic property- keeping the retro vibe while giving modern touches ( love the heated tile floor in bathroom). Very comfortable room. Nice balcony view of mountain landscape. Wonderfully decorated courtyard area (enjoyed the firepit and giant jenga). Onsite restaurant (Oak Steakhouse) is phenomenal.

PROS: The hotel is very peaceful as it is located in the middle of the mountain. The rooms are clean, nice and comfortable. Employees are nice as well. CONS: the hotel only has two floors. We stayed on the first floor and we could hear the footsteps of the people staying above us because the walls and floors are extremely thin. Also, there is no elevator so take this into consideration if you can’t lift your luggage up and down the stairs.

There is little space in the room and the TV is on a side wall not facing the beds. There is NO microwave. No breakfast which is a disgrace after paying exorbitant fees to stay. There is NO view from room and a small view from dining for some people. The food at the dining was so salty we couldn't eat our meals and again it was very pricey. Overall, I would never stay here again.
